  • You know what...I think your performance space is too reverberous for this march ( to the composer's fault). Men of Ohio is a very tight, crisp, concise march that is most effective with a dry sound (and maybe even a smaller symphonic band sound). The crescendo stopping in the intro, A and B strains are a clear example why - as there is almost a requirement of dead silence in those spots. The trio also requires a bit of this too.

  • The alto sax part for this is sooo much fun!

  • One of the most underrated marches of all times. The best trio ever. Mr. Fillmore gave the rights to this march to the Miami Senior High School band and they play it to this day.

  • @ExistentialNihilist im a current student at Miami Senior High and we recently rediscovered after a nice a cleaning of our library. hopefully we get to play it soon sounds like a fun piece to play it
