Im not a GH3 fanboy GNR have always been my favourite band and Slash my favourite guitarist for a whole miriad of reasons, which I wont go into but to me personally I much prefer him to Petrucci or any of those virtuoso types because he "speaks" to me and all that soul/new age shit, its true though haha. My 2 cents anyway

@Codyp1814 The point of playing music is to write good songs, not play a billion notes. Slash has written countless good songs both with GnR and his solo work. Petrucci is just known for how many modes, scales, and notes he can string together. Steve Vai is the same shit, along with Malsteem or whatever the fuck his name is. The only exception to the rule MIGHT be Satriani and thats it. Great songs are all that matters.
