I think that it's easier to shoot with SAW than PKM because it's much more stable and way more accurate than PKM.

well i know its just a recoil test but i would prefer the UZI above the MAC-10, why?:

-Better vision thru iron sights

The recoil difference between weapons seems largely superficial to me. Virtually all weapons have enough recoil that they cant be fired full-auto except at very close range.

great video, helped me decide which weapons to buy, thanks. You should also do an accuracy test to identify the direction of the recoil. As the PKM seemed to have more spread than the 249 SAW despite a lower recoil.

the mp5 is a submachine gun type weapon... so it is more comparable to the uzi and mac-10

It's not about how far up the post cause eg the mac10 and the Uzi the Uzi has a much slower rpm so it will get further up the pole cause it takes a longer time to empty the magizene so this test do shoot for 2 seconds and see how far up the pole u get then they will be even test

If you look how fast the recoil affects in the beginning while shooting PKM and SAW, PKM rises definately faster even though SAW has faster fire rate. Also it seems like PKM stops rising at the end. If the tests were done with 50 bullets or so it could be different result.

I'd say SAW has less recoil.

the 249 saw is more presise though as the pkm is more jagged in its rise. but from recoil perspective its wierd that a 7.62 lmg has less recoil than a 5.56 lmg :S

However, what puzzles me more is the fact that all of the guns eject the cartiridges to the left rather than to the right as they do in real life, is it for copyright issues, or because the felt like it i wonder?

Just put a vertical grip on a weapon that you are going to primarily shoot in full auto. Full auto isnt practical, it can waste large amounts of ammo if you fire alot of rounds and miss the target. Semi-automatic is better for accurate shooting. At close range it is good to learn to use the double tap technique, two accurate rounds to the chest, thats enough to drop a guy with a 5.56 round.

I wanted to mention the same thing as cali4niabandito. The PKM got up to a certain point quickly, then stopped climbing for some reason. The SAW climbed much more slowly and steadily. The SAW wins, in my humble opinion.

The only reason the MAC 10 goes lower is because of the RPM it spits out, both weapons have the same bullets in the clip (I believe?) and the Uzi simply has a lower RPM.

Technically its called muzzle rise. Recoil is how much kick the gun gives when firing and how easy it is to control.

Nice video, and as earlier mentioned, the Mac10 empties it clip much faster, but otherwise it'd be about the same as the Uzi. And the MP5 is a submachine gun, so its something in between of a uzi and assault rifle. Keep up the videos slack!

PKM seemed to get stuck at a certain height... After quickly climbing during 3/4 of the clip, then it stayed in the same place. The SAW didn't do that.

MAC 10 might have a lower recoil, but i favor the Uzi in Far Cry 2, simply because it has a "slower" rate of fire (it's still a high rate of fire, but at least it doesn't empty your mag as quickly as the MAC 10)

All the clip sizes were equal within each category in the test. e.g., all the assault rifles have a 30 round clip size, both machine pistols have a 30 round clip size and both light machine guns have a 100 round magazine size.

Okay... hang on. I just checked and it turns out everything is okay with this test.

I had purchased the accuracy upgrades for the MAC-10, the Uzi, the PKM and the M-249 SAW. As for the assault rifles, none of them had accuracy upgrades applied. So amongst each category in the test, e.g., machine pistols, assault rifles and light machine guns, everything was on equal footing.

IN MY OPININON i think that the silenced mp5 is the best weapon in the game when you get the bandolier for it. you could go in guns blazing with it and it won't be a problem. when you need to you can be stealthy with it and still won't be a problem. just my opinion though.

I see how on the M249 vs. the PKM the SAW somehow has more recoil, but in my opinion, i think the SAW is more controlable because it rises in a straight line, rather than zig-zaggging or drifting off to one side like the PKM does.

In my opinion the FAL recoils alot on even a small burst. The AK has less in the same burst and has a consistent rise. The FAL rises alot at first and then slows down.

I think it technically rises more because is goes in a S formation. A curved line is longer than a streight line from one point to another. It may have rised less, but it traveled more.
