Thanks for posting this great 1960's classic by The Animals. The sheet music for the organ part on "The House of the Rising Sun" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.
i think there like a thing for bands after the beatles became popular like the animals dressed like the beatles the turtles same. i mean the beatles started it all but this is one of the most recorded songs like.you know the record yesterday.
The house of the rising sun is the dead end for the good christian who meets with his real self and wouid make a slave of himself a a self punishment for what he sees as his dirty unfixieble soul
so good on so many levels -- altho it's been done by many other artists, Eric Burdon absolutely OWNS this song (yes, leave it to a Brit to capture the true essence of American soul/ folk) it is just so painful and raw -- he may be lip synching, but no one, I mean NO ONE -- can capture that angst and emotion like he does. LOVE IT !! New Orleans is proud
@blackops7psn ... do dallas people have the same accent as someone from new york... no.... well its the same in england .... you can go to different towns and city's and all the accents are different .. i can go ten minutes up the road and the accent changes ... there is no one english accent
Haha I like how the electric guitars are not plugged in at all in the video. And how he doesn't open his mouth wide enough while he is singing to actually make a good sound.
@drackorage I would just like to say that if you were truly appreciative of the art of this music, you would not run off at the mouth so much and sound like an imbecile. Music is art, it is not about the look and this song is amazing. Being from Louisiana myself, this song speaks to the jazz and soul of our culture. Quit babbling and take a look at the art; because you sound like a fool.
@KreweDesAiles When I originally commented I didn't mean to upset, I was just noticing some similarities and commenting. Sorry again if the comment was misconstrued.

While I dig this song, is it just me or is this band some kind of bad Beatles ripoff. I mean the suits, the hair, the bow at the end. Although don't get me wrong they're great. Though I will say the bassist looked really uncomfortable and the guitarist was grinning like an idiot the whole way through
@Drackorage Well they both came from UK, so it's normal to have several bands that look alike. Though their music is very much different they both draw their roots from 1950's look and rock music.
A similar thing can be said for a lot of rock bands today, long hair, washed out jeans, t-shirts.....If you look at musicians on a wider scale you'll notice similarities between a lot of bands. Just look at 1980's bands, especially he hair, oh the hair brrrrr.....
@Drackorage If musicians come from the same background they will have very similar traits......for example: all the rappers today, have the same style
@Drackorage If you notice they have NO cords leading to they're guitars and this is back in the early 60's not long after Elvis Recorded the first real music video ever! These guys are all from England and this was the style then the moppy hair the matching suits and sounding as American as possible so that a biased America would send you to the top the front man is lip syncing and the guitarist probably finds doing this video hearing thery're own recording played back to them while they pretend
@Drackorage oh and sorry 1 more thing I have my hair cut so it can be comed up like Elvis and I usually wear it hanging in my face to 1 side and I get all sorts of teeny boppers telling me I look like the lead singer from "BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE" and its just my way of being lazy with my hair another even said that I was wearing my hair like justiin beaver before he was so appearance isn'y always as it seems these guys had their own sound and everything just as I do! PEACE! :)

Not that he is making bad sounds, I didn't mean that at all, it's just obvious that he isn't actually singing it the way it is sounding in the video.

The House of The Rising Sun was a real juvenile correction facility in New Orleans, not a whorehouse.

@Drackorage
It's called a Zeitgeist you retard. Let's see:
60's: Most of the bands dressed like nice schoolboys, almost every band had an organ in their band.
70's : All shit was disco.
80's: All shit was done with synthesizers.
