Ron Paul failed to get elected last time. He is not a revolutionary guy he is a super conservative who wants to end medicaid/medicare/social security even though social security has a SURPLUS (which they spent and don't want to pay back). They claim eventually it will fail. In something like 37 years it will have to go down to 80% payments or something like that if nothing is done. That is plenty of time to change course. Theirs is a time of discovery. But we never reach a point at which we have learned all that we can or should know. I admire young people for their optimism about the future. They seem to not yet be jaded by reality. They still are oriented toward peace (unless they have been socialized out of it). Winning.

I am a libertarian. I just filled out the California voter registration form today. I felt really weird checking the box for "Republican," because I always voted democrat as I felt I chose the lesser of two evils.
However, like me, everyone must get past that weird feeling and do what is right for all of us. Your vote matters. Not your claimed political affiliation on a form in order to vote in the primaries and you can change your political affiliation after the election.
