I think having him mime a woman's voice was misguided, too. It might re-inforce anti-gay stereotyping. I can only think it was 1) to make a strange memorable image and 2) because many older lonely people are women (often with dead husbands because men die earlier). Or maybe someone at the ad agency is anti-gay and wanted to increase intolerance of gay people
