  • Google " highest hp per liter US" ; )

  • Google is amazing in the US the Acura Integra maintained highest hp/liter until S2000 which has the max allowed hp per liter for a legal street vehicle

  • the original version of this video played a huge part in me ordering a 97 b18cR over the 98 which was $1100 more... dropped in my dd EM1 perrrrrfectly 30000 miles later ( year n a half) she still feels brand new a testament to great engineering.. and i get on her frequently i enjoy every drive

  • 7 ppl who disliked drive hyundai's .....honda ftw all day!!!

  • hÊy_änYôNe_wäñÑÅ_chàt_wìth_mÊ_ï_fÈel_sø_lóÑÊlÿ_tÔdÄy▲

  • one of the best handling FWD cars ever made. they really did their homework when they made these. incredible vehicle

  • fan of this car since first Gran turismo, it has something special unfortunately it is very rare in my country

  • my brother has a 98spec dc2 type r, square lights like d 1 in the video non circle lights. full service history, hes the 2nd owner any1 interested email me.

  • I own a red 92 Acura Integra DA9 B18a1 wishing that i had gotten a DB2 with a B17 DOHC V-TEC. My dream car of all time has been the DC2 ITR. Im going to get a 99' spec and do the J-spec conversion make the DA9 look like the DB2 nd the DC2 look like a ITR hopefully ill have the mula for all a dat. they will be sitting in my drive way on Sunday accompanied by some American Staffs. hehe.

  • new type r`s are so gay compared to these

  • Tease! Where's the rest of it!

  • best car EVER! then its honda civic haha

  • Not sure if anyone's seen the new Ferrari promotional video with Schumacher but a graph in that indicates the new 458 will do 60mph to 0 in 32.5m (104ft). Bearing in mind stopping distance almost quadruples with doubling of speed I'd bet a 98 spec integra would be very close to matching that which is very impressive considering age and class differences between the two!

  • In fact, having come back to this while looking up some other info, a 458 should match this braking distance almost exactly. Got to bear in mind despite the age gap the front tires and brakes do most of the work. The Ferrari naturally has much bigger front brakes than the ITR but only 235mm front wheels which are only a tad bigger than the ITR's 215's. Weight difference is huge too with the Ferrari weighing almost 40% more...

  • what are the changes looks wise in between the 96' and 98' spec jdm itr?, and is it all a straight swap i.e back bumper, hid headlights? etc etc...

  • Pretty much everything would be a straight swap but there's more than you'd think. For example the brakes mean also swapping the old 4x114 hubs to 5x114 98 spec. What I mean is with the money to actually source and buy all the bits you could just buy a 98 spec.

  • look at the time in the 400m, ALL STOCK, i always see cars with AFTERMARKET SHIT, like headers or powerflow, whathever, doing 15 segs in the 400 m, I CAN SEE NOOB PEOPLE!!!

  • i agree

  • notice how on the 1/4 mile race how they are both a 98 spec, not 96 v 98 because look at the wheels, they are both 98 spec.. :S obviously its a draw

  • Check out the rear bumpers, only 1 has 98 spec rear bumper.

  • also check the wheels on the braking test, they are blatantly different.

  • dont be stupid.

  • B18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • getting one of these awesome babys soon wooohoooO!!!

  • i love this car. when i pick one up, im gunna strip the interior, put a roll cage in and put a K20a from the DC5 into it

  • ya must really love it then, taking out the engine it was given and replacing it with a newer engine!

  • DC2-R with H22A type S nuff said!! :)

  • DC2-R with a k20 wud OWN that LOL

  • Honda H22A Engine JDM Specs: Displacement (cc): 2157, Power (bhp@rpm): 220 @ 7,200 rpm, Torque (ft/lbs@rpm): 163 @ 6,500 rpm, Compression Ratio: 11:1, Bore (mm): 87, Stroke (mm): 90.7 Honda K20A Engine JDM Specs: Displacement (cc): 1998, Power (bhp@rpm): 220 @ 8,000 rpm, Torque (ft/lbs@rpm): 152 @ 7,000 rpm, Compression Ratio: 11.5:1, Bore (mm): 86, Stroke (mm): 86 So, do you still think DC2-R with k20a would own a DC2-R with H22A TYPE-S??

  • Engine power does not necessarily determine which car's faster. Look at the size of a prelude engine. It's way too big and heavy. Let alone, the gear ratio for the h22 is much wider. The K20A from the dc5's are much smaller and lighter but puts out a lot of power for its size. Also, the gear ratio is much shorter, allowing it to use the upper rpm's more efficiently.

The k20 is by far, faster in a dc2 than even the old ls-turbo setup running at 7psi.

  • oh man you guys are so stupid with these little comments

  • on a track where it can rev the dc2-r with a k20 is better

  • DC2-R... with K20a NUFF' SAID..

  • please lo fuck k20a engine

  • i wanna know more!!! where is the other video?

  • YES JUST LOOK MINE

  • These models are beast. I really hate it when ricers paint the rims and the car, add lips and all this other JDM shit. No reason to mess with the exterior unless it's going to benefit performance.

  • 98 have a bigger rotor and better braking than 96

  • INTHEGRA DC2 TYPE R IS EVEN MUCH MORE FASTER THEN DC5 INTHEGRA TYPE R. THE OLD CAR THAT HONDA CREATED IS EVEN FASTER THEN THE CAR THAT HONDA CREATE NOW. IS O SO BECAUSE OF THE ENGINE THAT HONDA MAKE USE.i always look down on honda engine that call i-vtec coz it is very slow but the old version engine that use on DC2 TYPE R call DOHC V-TEC. DOHC V-TEC IS THE BEST ENGINE THAT HONDA HAVE EVER CREATED

  • nah, K20 is better than B series.....but i agree a lil bit on what you say BUT...name doesnt matter at all...i-vtec is better, face it

  • DC2-R isn't faster than DC5-R..

  • hella wrong.. Intelligence VTEC is better than the old Vtec. you swap itr in eg, i swap k20 in eg. i take u out w/ my k20 eg.

  • please la u think k20a so good meh u every saw my car be for a not i dun play sprinter why not cornering i make sure u i take u out bu using a b18c

  • I would still take the 96-spec over 98-spec any day ...

  • why is that? Im thinking about getting one?

  • I think it's perfect ...

  • The 98 spec is one of my dreamcars! :)

  • so i guess 96 is faster.

  • In a straight maybe... in a course the 98 might have better handling/braking.

  • mr spok did the voice over for this video

  • lmao i knew he sounded familiar i just couldnt place it

  • jesus i love my 96 spec r swap in my gsr so much better

  • and what is the different between the '98 and '01?

  • I think they sticked with the same specs pretty much.... the big changes were from the 94-97 vs 98-2001. A educated guess, not 100% sure

  • how come the type-r integras in this video have a different front clip then the normal ones. plz dont slam me if its a stupid question im just wandering if anyone can help?

  • It's the Japanese style front end.

Europe and the US got the quad light style.

  • thank you!!

  • hey i got a skyline rb25 r33 turbo i thinking of selling it and look a type R 98 or 96 with 1 is the best

  • go for the later one mate. go for the jap looking version aswell looks so much better.

  • i got a 2001 gs silver integra. i wish i had a 98-01 black or yellow type r teggie.

  • Dey Only Made Honda Integra Type-Rs for performance and handling

    like circuit racing

    jus like da S2Ks

    i gots my honda pride

i run a gsr wit high compression

    lovin da vtec

  • Good clip but info on brakes sizes is not right. 15" brakes, I think not. That's 380mm approx (in the commie metric system and for people out of the US). Ferrari 360 brakes are 330mm. I think they have their conversions a bit up the f#@k.

  • Erm, the people of the US still use Imperial Measurements. Just sayin' like.

Oh, and the Rear brakes on a 360GT are 330mm.... The fronts are 380mm

  • I put metric measurement for people out of the US and was having a laugh about the commie thing. Jeez.

And by the way a standard Ferrari 360 has 330mm rotors f & r and I didn't mention any GT model. Anyhow I was only putting that as a comparison and to say that a type r doesn't have 15" rotors. So you may like to learn how to read at some point.

  • people that rip on type-r's dont even know the history of the car... in fact, probably only 1% of americans even know why they made a type-r production model. and people who like the type-r only like it because other people like it. I own a scion TC, and have followed the type-r since i was 15(21 now). guys gatta do research before making anymore comments.

  • True

  • so why did they make them then?

  • they made them for people who want a daily driver that they can drive to the track, spank the fuck outta it and then drive it home wit no problems! its the ultimate comprimise

  • @atabist dont forget the b18cr had the highest hp/liter of displacment of any vehicle until the S2000.. ( at least in U.S.)

  • @m3dication try rotary........

  • well i gotta 97 4dr and runs like a dream come through.. cant sleep without hearing Tec or wake up in the mornin and not run Tec.

  • your a faggot for saying some stupid shit like that

  • This car is a Classic.

  • noo! why stop it when theyre testing it in the curcuit!

  • vtec passion!!!!!!

  • Wow thanks for uploading this video! Awesome vid. I'm always looking for new clips with information like this. So should everyone else. Helps keep the idiot factor a little lower ;)

  • nicely said.

  • i think "engineered with great passion" is an understatement. this motor is flawless.

  • well that shows how much u know about tegs...the 98spec tranny has shorter gear ratios..so ud get done faster in the 98 not 96

  • Classic video, 98 is better for top end while the 96 is better in low end, get though gears quicker in 96.

  • So what was it saying, the 96 version is faster through all the gears? Gotta love tec :-)

  • yea the 98 spec tranny is kinda weird...it has b16 1st 2nd 3rd gear but gsr 4th and 5th gear.

  • Classic video, and timeless !

  • the name of this vid is called the type R legend just so u know go buy it

  • gotta love the cheesy dubbing

  • cool, they had HIDs back in 98 - cool, good video really draws out the diffrences - good stuff

  • Best Motoring = the truth.. Top Gear = bullsh..

  • Best Motoring ownz
