  • wish it got more hits it was soposed to get 10,000

  • i am one of the running people

  • I love there, and I loved this event. Haters GTFO. SARATOGIANS FTW!!! :D

  • This is a disgrace for saratoga

  • Hey everyone who was excited to see Mr.halstead check out my channel to see him rapping xD

  • it was ALLOT of fun making it!

  • Excellent! Love and miss my hometown!

  • win. jackpot upside down near the end. XD

  • Great idea for a video and am glad to see that it is all taking place in one of the nicest places in New York State...Saratoga Springs!! My friend is in this video at the 6:04 mark on left with his arms upraised.I am proud of you Saratoga!!

  • ya i live in saratoga, and work at the track everyday of the week( except tuesdays because theres no races) and um i was just wonder... how the hell did i miss all of this?

  • @4:59 That guy clapping has to be gay.

  • I was born in this city. I know a lot of people may find this beautiful, but looking back, I feel that the recent growth of the city has put a strain on the original residents of the city. I know no one else will feel this way, but for me the greatest part of growing up in Saratoga was the fact that nearly everyone I met on the street was a friend or neighbor. Now when I go and visit, I am lucky if I see anyone at all that I remember. Sincerely your former resident Joe Dolan.

  • Coolest city ever!!

  • I just want to say I am HAPPY this was made & put it on my Facebook world for all my friends to see how pretty Saratoga is; and I believe it was made to have a great community moment and show our lovely city; I don't have any cricism of the hard work that went into it; I think it was just fun to watch!

  • sorry but the videography is terrible in this presentation--I was born and raised in Ballston Spa so naturally Saratoga is part of my life growing up. You need to hire somebody who knows how to shoot a great piece....hope you didn't waste too much on this piece.

  • @elceelee Extraordinarily well said. The same materials could have been organized into a much better product.

  • Aside from shitty music, shitty organization, and an overall shitty gimmick, it shows the most ultimately appealing thing about upstate NY - the white/black ratio.

  • @theworldwins Just what I was thinking about two minutes in - "Boy, all this is showing is that there's a lot of white people who like to jump around in the streets."

  • USA rocks!

  • I don't live in Saratoga, but I have to say, I loved this video and I'd be very proud to have been part of this production? What great energy! Who cares if not everybody knew the words-Saratoga looks like an awesome place to live!

  • I see people lip synching...so it IS a real lipdub...for that person SO criticizing...let's see YOU make one of these!

  • @TeresaGrocki Let's see YOU make one of these - after you get the support of the Chamber of Commerce behind you - & have it turn out better. It's pretty easy to realize this was a disaster, the scale of which has not been seen in this country since we were collectively traumatized by Cher straddling a battleship.

  • @RicklesGibson I WAS NOT CRITICISING THE WORK!!! I enjoyed it so much I put it on my Facebook wall.... two different times...

  • IF you know Saratoga this is trying to show, in a too short span of time, everything this city has to offer; I don't like having to live upstate, but I am proud to show people on MY Facebook wall this video; to get an entire CITY to come out & do this is awesome; of course, I was at the track that day..haha why not? It's what Saratoga in the Summer really IS!! But this is really a nice pictorial; don't criticize...don't hate...so...where is YOUR CITY'S LIP DUB EH???

  • I enjoyed this video. Being in the military and away from the area I grew up for about 10 years, it melted my heart seeing it. Thank you to everyone who made this video possible.

  • Good but not as good as the Michigan one

  • Ok, this embarrassing. I say I'm now very embarrassed to be a citizen of Saratoga. The kid at 6:10 I know him. If you couldn't tell, he's an Elvis impersonator. Him, and the first girl, the red-haired girl at the Arts Center, I'm in a play with them. So yeah.

  • What? You're concerned with hacks like Spielberg and Pixar when this clearly should have been shot in 3D!

  • Ijust moved away from saratoga. This video made me cry because it is such an amazing place to live. I think the video captured the heart of toga:)

  • 10 seconds of Skidmore? C'mon, they make up half the culture of Saratoga!

  • I love this, its wonderful to see a city come together and collaborate something like this. I really think those who are so negative need to realize this is a reflection on your city, the point is to be a promo for the city, I have to say that its great and the uncut nature of a Lip Dub like this is part of its charm. Kudos to all involved!! I am not from the city, I am a Membership Director for a city in Texas, so know that this is getting around. Again Great Job Saratoga!!

  • @blarbymcblarbston it's actually not a great job. They could have done much better. Really, just awful all around and a waste of everyones' time.

  • only 43,000 views :( upsetting

  • Watch it with like the sound off. It's like uh 25,000$ home made goofy sidewalk parade.

  • @kaptainklaws yeah I agree; they should have let them use Broadway ROAD, too...too many people packed in the sidewalks...

  • We loved it here in Hilo, Hawai'i!

  • This is a great job and I'm so proud of the town. Yes I am from Saratoga and am biased, and i'm NOT WHITE, so yes there are non-whites who lived there/grew up there. Congratulations to everyone involved! And to the blow-hard haters that think they could have "marketed" more cleverly, where were you on the day it was filmed?

  • Comment removed

  • At 7:40 you can see two black people, one of which kidnapped a white bride.

  • i think i saw maybe..3 non-white people..? oh well, at least that beats the number of colored people that the saratoga springs police dept has..

..wait do they even have any?

  • @andwesellthatkush I have only seen white officers sleeping in the cars hidden in the woods at the park.

  • @andwesellthatkush - I guess race and color has to be brought into everything now!?! By looking at your name, maybe the local PD would be interesting in making a visit to your home?

  • @drtsqwrt unfortunately they have, but this name is almost 4 years old. ive cleaned up my act.

as far as race and color thing, i only said that cuz being a minority in a close minded city like saratoga really fucking sucks. and to see a stupid video like this is just a waste of our tax money. oh and as far as the local PD goes, i have 2 legit stories about how crooked and wrong some of there cops are.

  • @andwesellthatkush Yeah saratoga does suck I dont like all the race and color thing eiter it stupid.

  • omg i live in s.s and umm i missed the whole thing!!!!!

  • this is terribly embarrassing, both as a saratoga resident and to white people in general.

  • It was fabulous! I have lived here all my life, and thought it captured just how much we love our little city.

  • So cool.!

  • How cool! It looks like the day was so much fun! Congrats to all those that organized and obviously put a ton of work into this!! My kids want to visit Saratoga now!

  • How cool! It looks like the day was so much fun! Congrats to all those that organized and obviously put a ton of work into this!! My kids want to visit Saratoga now!

  • Tremendous!!! vast effort and it is absolutely Tremendous! thanks!

    Capital District Showcase

  • FINALLY we did something worth the time to be proud of this city YA; this video has gone as far as Costa Rica, by my part.

  • Keep watching, cuz the DRUMMER OF TRAIN is from Saratoga!!

  • THIS....is MY CITY!!! am I proudf? oh yes SAM THE BUGLER YOU ROCK!!!

  • Love this video! What a great showing of enthusiasm for our great little city! Congratulations to everyone involved!

  • This is awesome!!!!! A great piece of work!!!! Bravo!!!! Thanks Gail for sending this my way! I recognized some places from your videos!!!'

  • Ditch the first 20 seconds and you might not lose so many folks.... Too many say they stop watching it.

  • Lovely. What fun and what a great town.

  • Amazing!

  • This ad is a cross between The Safety Dance music video (Men Without Hats), and a really bad 4th of July parade. If this was shown to someone who had never heard of Saratoga, they'd think the city offered 24/7 lame-ass parades, and shitty self-important lip-synchers.

  • @prolearmy I think that if this video was shown to someone who did not live in Saratoga, they would see what the rest of us see. A video that brought the community of Saratoga together with over 4,000 participants. While there are parts that aren't great, you have to look at the whole picture. This was put together in FOUR WEEKS...I would say that for four weeks of planning this video is GREAT. Most lip dubs take 3x that long and unfortunately, we did not have that amount time.

  • @jmf3483 I'm from Montreal, Canada and I think that it's great how the city all came together for this. It looks like a nice little city!

Plus, I saw some workers from my favourite ice cream company, Stewart's Shops ♥♥♥ Cotton Candy ice cream FTW!!

  • Amazing how many people came out for this event! Really proud of an Upstate City for being so supportive of the community... Great job Saratoga and Modern Mix Marketing!

  • This is not even a lipdub -all I see are people just arbitrarily rocking back & forth with little singing! The filming is so amateur that most of it is just a strange out of focus confusion. How about one song that everyone knew the words to that represented the theme of the town?! We have so many things that could have been marketed CLEVERLY- ballet, orchestra, racing, history- nothing was TIMED or ORGANIZED!! They could have made the town look like an interesting destination. What a MESS!!

  • @JayGatsbyy So why don't deo what you say, instead of wineing!?!?!?

  • @JayGatsbyy Well the drummers, from the town, so it represents our Train heritage. Also, everything was timed, what are you talking about?

  • @JayGatsbyy I said the same exact thing when i first saw it

  • @JayGatsbyy I like it!! Simple as that.

  • Cool idea but the person videoing sucks!

  • This is fucking dumb, 25 grand to make, what a waste.

  • @Jdespo518 definitely could have done something way more beneficial with 25k. Unfortunately the average middle age individual won't notice the difference between speilberg and modern mix. Just shows that even though you can afford good equipment, your ideas still suck. Its funny that the nay sayers to these comments say something like "well if you could do better, why didnt you do it? Looks like its time another media company takes charge in the area..

  • I love Skidmore and I love Saratoga!

  • WHERES SARATOGAS FAMOUS HULK?!?!??!?!

  • @9989tazman I think the track was open that day. Hulk loves the track.

  • From San Diego...........Nice JOB!!!!!! all the beautiful face of Saratoga Srpings. I do love your town. Was there the day they filmed but didnt know what was going on. Very nice though. Was at Mimi's Hair design next to the sunoco station.

  • makes me ashamed to be in saratoga lame

  • What a GREAT SHOWCASE of just how amazing this community is and how connected and supportive we are of each other. Building Community is part of my life purpose and what I believe makes life worth living. Community is how we thrive as people. After living in Los Angeles for so many years, I am so happy and proud to call this town my new home. I've never felt more at home. :) Go Saratoga!

  • Outstanding job to all involved. Way to go Chamber of Commerce for putting it together!

  • This is what you get when you have too many white people in one place

  • @TheUpstate518 Will you marry me?

  • saratoga sucks go to Long island.

  • @amethystwyvern he's my teacher now isn't he AWESOME

  • I was in this!!(:

  • i was in this!!!

  • I love It!!!, I moved away from the Saratoga area 2 years ago to a small town in TX, and I can tell you TX cannot compare to NY and certainly to Saratoga. It makes me want to move back. Great Job!!!!

  • I love how I'm able to watch this and read the credits and point out all of my friends!

  • My favorite part are the hula hoopers at 3:11. The girl with the black shirt jumping and singing to Train. She had so much fun making this.

  • @eastline67 That little girl was awesome!

  • Awesome !!! I LOVE SARATOGA!!!!

  • Love it!! Saratoga is amazing<3 we all worked so hard and long! Thank you modern mix marketing:)

  • This was so bad. I mean really bad.

  • All of the way to Bahrain, this video made it to me on Facebook. I am so happy to see hundreds of familiar faces. I think we might plan a trip home! Great job capturing my home town! ~Tari Pacifico

  • 6:40 kid had the jackpot sign upside down lol

  • Very, Very COOL!

  • well done. the credits should have been some other song than the main one that was used in the video

  • Yeah so I live in Malta and Im probably in Saratoga Springs at least a couple times a week, and I had NO CLUE this was going on. Where was my invite? How did I not know this was happening TWO MILES AWAY. PISSED that I missed it!!!

  • What a great video- shows the best of Saratoga Springs NY, and the best of today's music!!!

  • i love our city <3

  • Great job guys, really captured the city

  • Love it Saratoga!!!

  • 5,000 views of our great community in 1 day! Great job to everyone who worked on this!

  • Holy CRAP Saratoga! I'm proud of you!! Also- if the point is to market saratoga as a destination, where's the "visit saratoga" message, and at least put the links at the BEGINNING of the description!

  • I was there

  • Haha I was there

  • For all of my friends and family that do not live in Saratoga, this is a bit long, but soooo Saratoga...an awesome place to live. If it wasn't for Ava, Alex and Ely, I would stay here forever! Jack drove through the downtown one night when I was unhappy living in Hyde Lake, NY and said, "I am in an incredible downtown that is busy offseason, if you see it you will want to move here"! and we did 13 years ago. Great place to live!!

  • @booksbooks18444 its great, but don't put the two weeks that we had a earthquake, a hurricane and tornados close to Saratoga. what a odd summer

  • 5:18 is my old music Teacher Mr. Halstead oh yeah!!!!

  • halstead!!!! hahahahaha

  • this is dope

  • Very cute, nice execution...But, there is 8:21 of performance, and 5:30 of credits?! Crazy.

  • @austinhandler many people were in the video

  • Holy CRAP Saratoga! I'm proud of you!!

  • this is amazing, 518 forever

  • To one of you 6 dislikes; what's to dislike, I wonder? Upset you didn't make it that day? c'mon......this is waaaay fun!

  • Thanks to all that participated and gave their energy! Shout out to the Pizza Tossers 04:35!

  • Love this Video!

  • WTF who would dislike? Go away trolls!

  • Wonderful and happy-inducing

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • Beyond Awesome. NICE JOB......so sorry I didn't shake off inertia and go be part of this. What a HAPPENING!!!!!!

  • Very cool, proud to be a saratogian!

  • They did an awesome job on this! (it is REALLY difficult to coordinate LONG shots like these involving this many people) I think they managed to include everything you could think of about Saratoga...

  • Grew up here. Favorite place in the world. Miss it everyday...friends, family, and beautiful location. Thank you so much for making this.

  • This is great!

  • Train drummer Scott Underwood is from Saratoga. Our Chamber of Commerce and many others orchestrated thousands of Saratogians taking to the street to celebrate our city. Those of us in Congress Park had no idea of the scope of the goings on down Broadway. Phenomenal! Glad I was there!

  • CONGRATULATIONS, YOU GUYS!!!!! I sooooooo love this. So, so proud of and happy for you all!!

  • Congratulations on a great job mobilizing the Saratoga community to come out and support their hometown!

  • Wow! What a cool city!

  • That's my home town! Great Job Saratoga!

  • For all of you not from Saratoga - this is our town!! Enjoy

  • Great Job everyone!

Train and Saratoga, a winning combination for sure!

  • Well done!!
