Great vid, resonated well with me. -BUT- I'd also like to note, just as the Bible is very Astrotheological in it's Esoteric Sense, so is Urantia, I felt at least, especially the Lucifer Rebellion chapter. The Urantia Book exposes it's greatest error with the non-existent being Lucifer... a well known error among Biblical scholars. Having read all of the Urantia Book many times over 35 years to my betterment as a person, friend, family member and citizen: I believe it to be revelatory. The conceptual poverty spoken of in the first paragraph of text is addressed in the remaining papers with elegance, beauty and grace. I highly recommend reading the UB for oneself. The concepts of spiritual brotherhood thru the Fatherhood of God forever removes the need to prove or disprove but rather to live and love.

One of David's recurring points is his disdain for those who feel that there is someone/something bigger than themselves that has guided the creation of the universe. Fortunately for him, God included free will in his plan, which allows David to come to whatever conclusion he chooses when it comes to reality, the universe and his part in it. I think that that's a wonderful thing.
Frankly I'm pretty sure that there are unlimited paths to the One True God (excuse the capitals), and the UB is only one of them. If it gives people hope, explains some of the "big questions" we all have and helps them be better people and encourages us all to treat our brothers and sisters with a little more compassion and dignity, then how evil can it be?
The good news, and I'm sure that David will find this particularly annoying, is that all this hot air has undoubtedly caused many of those who passed through here without any awareness of the Urantia Book to find it and take a look. This is a good thing.
I left the scene because of the endless repetition of his faulty argument claiming fraud because of the UB (Urantia Book) story of the Lucifer Rebellion and the shortcomings of the King James version of the bible. I was also turned off by the anger exhibited by David and even many of his detractors (most of the posts). Of course who else but Urantia Book enthusiasts would endlessly joust with this man and his narrow view of reality?
Wow. I came across this topic of David's months ago and logged a comment contesting his claim of having really read the Uranita Book based on my own studies going back to 1979. In response, David choose to post a screed that showed me he wasn't really interested in honest debate but was instead wallowing in an apparent addiction to adrenalin and testosterone that seemed to be validated when I came back today and spent the 45 minutes it took to read the entire thread covering a couple of years.

the concept of duality. I my self am a spiritual person but I don't follow the teachings of religion. Sometimes people have to stop looking for answers from outside and start looking from within. If you combined all the religions in the world you would only get like 30 % truth. Most of what is said in bibles are false but there are traces of truth. I'm with you on the whole "death of all religion" thing but to get rid of it millions if not billions would have to die.

I say in my book that one must realize that if one MUST have a God, then YOU ARE GOD experiencing a time and space limited reality, as God which is a metaphorical expression for the sum of all reality, all at once, all of the time. I was more interested in this from the standpoint of relevance to Biblical history than the authenticity of the Urantia Book. Especially noteworthy was the description of the Greek word "diabolos" - perhaps meaning "out of the hurt". Maybe it is an observation that our worst behavior is often motivated by fear or anger whose birth was in an impactful personal trauma or wound.

Great vid, resonated well with me. -BUT- I'd also like to note, just as the Bible is very Astrotheological in it's Esoteric Sense, so is Urantia, I felt at least, especially the Lucifer Rebellion chapter. When I read it, I thought of Lucifer, being the Sun, the Center of Our Solar System, and kept that idea, as I read... and as I read... I had to think bigger of the meanings of other words and places mentioned. i.e. Jerusalem, but still kinda worked out for me in my mind. Nice upload btw.

The Urantia Book exposes it's greatest error with the non-existent being Lucifer... a well known error among Biblical scholars. It also exposes its lack of correctness by stating the Kaba is a relic of Islam. That is not correct. The writers of the U.B. did not know their Bible well enough to pull off the fraud successfully. Having read all of the Urantia Book many times over 35 years to my betterment as a person, friend, family member and citizen: I believe it to be revelatory. The conceptual poverty spoken of in the first paragraph of text is addressed in the remaining papers with elegance, beauty and grace. I highly recommend reading the UB for oneself. The concepts of spiritual brotherhood thru the Fatherhood of God forever removes the need to prove or disprove but rather to live and love.

Remember, the only proof of the validity of a spiritual belief system is the spiritual fruit that is borne by taking it seriously. One of David's recurring points is his disdain for those who feel that there is someone/something bigger than themselves that has guided the creation of the universe. Fortunately for him, God included free will in his plan, which allows David to come to whatever conclusion he chooses when it comes to reality, the universe and his part in it. Wow. I came across this topic of David's months ago and logged a comment contesting his claim of having really read the Uranita Book based on my own studies going back to 1979. In response, David choose to post a screed that showed me he wasn't really interested in honest debate but was instead wallowing in an apparent addiction to adrenalin and testosterone that seemed to be validated when I came back today and spent the 45 minutes it took to read the entire thread covering a couple of years.

If you combined all the religions in the world you would only get like 30 % truth. Most of what is said in bibles are false but there are traces of truth. I say in my book that one must realize that if one MUST have a God, then YOU ARE GOD experiencing a time and space limited reality, as God which is a metaphorical expression for the sum of all reality, all at once, all of the time. What makes more sense in this world where people that are all THE SAME life different lives? one in the worst and another in the BEST? life ain't easy true but what for seek one hapiness that after reaching it you need more ? However I have studied the book and continually find that modern learning and understanding appear to adhere to what the book states. why so upset about the book anyway? Urantia 53.1 you were perfect in all your ways from the day you were created till unrighteousness was found in you.

And my video points out a fatal flaw in the Urantia Book... because I'm educated and I know that the word Lucifer was never in the Bible in the first place... it was an error in translation. There never was a Lucifer in the Bible... EVER. But, if you aren't educated, you wouldn't know that. Modern translations have corrected that problem.

@mrcpumort how many more times.......the Urantia book talks about events before our written word it hasnt taken anything from the bible because it speaks about events before the bible. if the book talks about Lucifer it does so in the context of history not the bible....which as we all know is a rather muddled, misguided attempt at explaining the life of Jesus. religion is a personal thing...lets keep it that way, and not chuck our toys out the pram when someone states their beliefs.

Just because someone carries a title and states things that can be examined by others does not mean that their explanations are set in stone.....i believe people who have witnessed stuff which cant be explained, call them stupid if you wish but dont ignore the fact there is much more to this life than we will ever work out. On an intellectual level names and the existence of such personas can be examined forever. So much has been emitted from sacred texts, revised, translated, it is almost a chinese whisper. Thats why I read for inspiration, to fill my mind with peotry and beautiful thoughts because the Truth is in the heart itself.
I conclude God is real, not by book reading but by deep personal revelation.

@sweeetly As convoluted as your reply is, you make a kind of point. Yes, if there is a God, then YOU are, indeed, God... but so is everyone else... and everything else, all at once, all of the time. But there never was a Lucifer... it's the Latin name for Venus, the planet. It's a Roman era name and not a person's name, and never has been a person's name except in English fiction, notably in Milton's "Paradise Lost". But Milton didn't know that the reference to Lucifer was an error

I see it as Lucifer is a name given to the darker side of humanity or state of consciousness. Paradise Lost is a metaphor, fiction based on fact in a way.
Thing is, whatever name or persona we can think of is true in the perception of the person.
The name Lucifer is derived from the name Lucias meaning light or illuminated.
Meaning a type of illuminated state, yet not being true illumination.

I was more interested in this from the standpoint of relevance to Biblical history than the authenticity of the Urantia Book. Especially noteworthy was the description of the Greek word "diabolos" - perhaps meaning "out of the hurt". Maybe it is an observation that our worst behavior is often motivated by fear or anger whose birth was in an impactful personal trauma or wound.

You're an atheist? How can a true searcher still be an atheist in this age of information? One will easily find a common thread of information in all spiritual books, religions, faiths, tribal superstition, etc. This common thread is the TRUTH. Not even Einstein was an atheist.

I don't see that presence of erroneous information, or omission of any information we may think is important, constitutes fraud, or intentional intent to deceive. It just cautions us that would-be aliens are not infallible, Just use our reason, can the secrets of the universe be so easily transmitted through the written human language? May be just another signpost, at best, or, at worst, a serious distraction. Is there a good reason why Jesus himself purportedly never wrote anything down?

@mytwocentsful There is good reason to believe Jesus was illiterate. Most people were in those days. The UB is supposed to be truth from the rulers of eternity/the universe. If they can't get their facts straight they are con artists. The so-called beings behind the UB aren't fit to rule the world, yet alone a known universe of many billions of light years in scope. You just aren't all that bright, or you would "get it".

All this is saying is that there may be another layer above us that also consists of fallible beings. It is just plain foolish to idolize them as if they hold the secrets of the universe, but it doesn't have to mean they don't exist, and didn't attempt to communicate to the human race, through a channeled book, or any other means.

If you are stupid enough to give the infinite a limit in size, just what, exactly, is beyond the boundaries of "the edge". Nothing? There is no logic in that.
