Headly although being a fan of the army I dont think it is right to call marines punks. I can see what your saying but that is what the brutal training does to them. The marines are one big special force really. The army has better training but you must join the berets or rangers. you dont get that from normal army training.

I've never served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. However, I know the Marines are over rated.
They describe themselves as an elite unit, which they are not. They are a good, not great infantry unit. There is an elite unit in the Corps, but they are trained differently than the average Marine.
@headley62 Marines are the more elite unit you could join right off of HighSchool or enlist, but there no where near compared to Green Beret or Army Ranger.
@headley62 It's an individuals effort. Marines are usually more motivated for warrior arts than a typical Soldier, but as I said; you cannot judge it because it's on the individual if he dedicates to being a warrior.

Those of you who don't appreciate this song don't listen! I lost my green beret husband in the Vietnam war, a green beret son in the cold war and his son my green beret grandson, in Afghanistan. This song brings me comfort knowing they didn't die in vain, but with honor! Have some respect please!
