@owenboy60 I'm one of those two people then, (Although I didn't thumbs this video down) The movie is funny, this scene is kinda funny. Lol, but people that are really like this, are not funny at all.
Oh yeah, it's totally okay and funny to perpetuate stereotypes of white Southerners, Christians, and homeschoolers. But if this were a video about black low-income kids talking about how God invented watermelon, people would have a problem with it. Thank you, Hollywood, for showing us how bigotry is funny and cool.
How do I "sound ignorant"? I know this is a movie. I also know that the realm of film is a cultural battleground and that people use movies to spread ideas. I find this particular segment of this movie offensive, just as I find many Stepin Fetchit movie segments offensive.
On the off chance that your plea for an "intelligent argument" is sincere...
What is being said here? That homeschoolers who are "weirdly religious" are homophobic, ignorant... and Southern.
The implication is that Southerners and Christians are ignorant. That's a stereotype. That is bigotry, whether you want to admit it or not. Liberal Democrats (since you've opened the door to party generalization) so often condemn others for not being "open-minded," yet feel quite free to be close-minded about people and the ideas of people they dislike. By contrast, a negative stereotypical portrayal of gay men prancing around like fairies wouldn't be accepted by anyone.
This clip is from the movie 'Mean Girls' Thumps up so everybody can see:)

A video made by a liberal democrat,no doubt. No logical argument, so they must tell lies. Nothing new...

This is from a movie. You must be a conservative Republican. No intelligent argument, so you have to sound ignorant. Nothing new...
