i had high hopes for this game...up until i realised that u cant play co-op over two systems with two copies of the game...splitscreen sucks arse...if u've got two optimum gaming systems (2 widescreen HD monitors, 2 towers, two copies of K&L2) running side by side u should have the option of at least LAN play...two screen co-op destroys splitscreen any day o the week...i'll stick to playing borderlands, the best two screen co-op i've played in ages.

1th of all, like here in the vid, that you see, the screen is split vertical not horizontal like you said.

2nd of all, even the shooters nowadays have a lot of action ongoing, Infront AND above the players vision, so an Vertical split is the best option to see the most of the battlefield. Or would you rather waste your time turning the camera up and down? ^^

i play this vs Gears of War 2 split-screen and this game 2 players co-op was way better than Gears 2 even thought Gears 2 was the better game.

if i am playing on SDTV, horizontal might be better, but wide HDTV and play co-op Gears of War 2 in horizontal look even wider, i don't like it.

i hope Epic have a choice, one vertical, horizontal for both fans each preference.

Well you have me there. Horror games are in short supply as it is, Resident Evil being the only one that really comes to mind, so the closest thing to splitscreen horror i know of is Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. They arent really scary but kinda creepy with lots of zombies. As far as MUST play splitscreen titles, it kinda boils down to must play titles in their own right. As I said, Army of Two is the best splitscreen game I have ever played. I will tell you more in a seperate comment lol.

The entire Halo series is worth playing through on single player or splitscreen. If you own a PS2 you can buy Half-Life 1 and it comes with a splitscreen mode called Half-Life decay. I love the Gears of War series they are some of my favorite games and they can be played splitscreen. Honestly I have had more fun with my friends playing Left 4 Dead games on splitscreen than any other. The tensions are very high and it requires teamwork. I recommend one of those games, but Left 4 Dead (2) most.

Halo, well, the first Halo was INCREDIBLE the first time I played it splitscreen from start to finish, first time playing it too, day of release, etc, t'was an incredible game, lost interest in the rest of the series, but did play them.

I've not actually played any of the resident evils since the first one ever made, which was indeed scary,, never really considered the rest horror games, thought they were action orientated, guess I was wrong, haha.

Oh to answer your question on the horror games, well I just HAD to look it up hahaha. So yah it turns out that Resident Evil 5 has split-screen co-op. I find this great and you should check it out because it is a horror game built around a co-op engine. Yah that new splinter-cell game seems like it would be fun. RE5 is pretty fun, though I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a horror, not at all! Which is a huge huge shame, but if you've a friend to play with, it's definitely a fun little game.

Splinter cell , they've made a whole new campaign dedicated to co-op, looks very interesting, haha. And yes, half-life was one of my favourite games back in the day, I'm not as old as you'd think though my gaming 'time' dates back to some text based RPG's that you won't have heard of, haha.
