My grandmother has very bad vision so she got a device covered by health insurance that could be placed right on top of fine text, to magnify it clearly on a very bright lcd screen. Sounds cool right? But it cost $800. And a few years later it apparently has stopped working. So I'm thinking an app like this on an iPod touch could make an excellent and more reliable replacement. Just... why have the stupid magnifying glass image at all, and is there no pinch to zoom?

@Daghead
In recent updates, we've included a toggle for the image. It was intended as a novelty to impress friends.
We've also added pinch to zoom and a toggle for a reading light. (Only available on iPhone 4)
Lastly, the app is now free. :)

Not included with the iPhone, but you can buy it for 99 cents.
