this is probably a dumb Q. but can you finish the ends with a cobra lanyard knot as long as you have enough cord left(without having to cut the cord)?
very cool but if you want to fit more para chord you should've weaved them through the hole of the handle and it might have even looked cooler. but still nice
Had Izulas for several years and just used this wrap for the first time. Worked great. I like to wrap my blade in masking tape ever since the uh....incident. :0) Haha.
i really like and appreciate your videos on paracord wrapping. THANK YOU. i wish you had better explained that knot, at the beginning of this one, though. i'll watch it again and see if i can understand it.
Something to try: I heard that you can get a tighter wrap using wet paracord because the wetted paracord ends up stretching out more so when you wrap it tight stretched out then after it dries the paracord constricts some and what you get is a more tightly wrapped handle. I don't know first hand if this works that great but something to try on a rainy day. Great review man, keep em coming
i got the Izula in green and I love it and i wrapped it in black and green paracord using this wrap and it came out great. i get alot of comliments on the knife and the wrap. thanks alot for showing how to make a great knife look as good as it works.
I have been spending hours trying to make a perfect melt connection. Could you do a video on how to connect two chords by melting ?? I know it sounds easy, but its not~!
Great tutorial and I love this wrap, but it doesn't work well on rounder handles.
I have a machete handle that needs a bit more grip and it's already rounded, so if you do this wrap it's a lot easier for it to become unraveled because the crossed part (where it comes to an X) can shift.
Your 360 wrap in the other vid fixes the shifting problem, but I don't like the feel. Would love something that stays in place and feels nice.
Beautifully done. I will likely use this technique for my Camillus Becker Necker. I currently have a very plain wrap, but this is much more attractive and should be quite comfortable too. Thanks for sharing!!
I have done pretty much this same thing, however, I put the knot on the top of the handel, gives extra thumb grip, and the colors are different on each side.
I know!!! This is why I like the Izula sooooo much! Because it's customizable. I developed the wrapping method myself... I highly recommend investing in one. Thanks for the comment! I am uploading the next one right now.

When you cut a paracord, the inside 7 strand core comes out. what do I do to fix it?
urkingod 2 years ago
@urkingod you cant its garbage
oooMTBMTBooo in reply to urkingod (Show the comment) 2 years ago
@oooMTBMTBooo I learned that you could just cut it while you are holding it up close to the end, then immediately melt it down. Easy! hahaha
urkingod in reply to oooMTBMTBooo (Show the comment) 1 year ago
@urkingod The trick is to cut the paracord on an angle so when you melt them you have more surface area to stick together while it's still melted
