He knows that they won't softball him and he knows if he does go on, they'll fry him for dinner. Ron Paul doesn't have a good past. If you'll check Real Clear Politics (2012 GOP Poll), you'll see that Ron Paul isn't doing as well as you claim (Ron Paul supporters like to inflate poll numbers or make up their own polls). If Ron Paul is the Messiah of Freedom as his supporters like to claim, then he needs to accept invitations from ALL the news networks or stop whining about the media ignoring him.
