@Cossynieur but if you say about those video,were they play in the musical,you're make a mistake.because it's very different voices: compare: "QUEL" in a phrase ''quel est l'homme qui detournarait son regard d'elle" in this song and in those song! it's very different phrases! and Patrick's voice in this song and in those song isn't same.

Oh my God, I love this song! And you've done such a good job fitting the clips to the music! I won't lie, this is the only song from the musical that I know, but... holy crap, the rest must be amazing!

I must say, Frollo's part really works the best out of the 3 - probably since his song in the disney movie is pretty much just an extended version of his verse in this song.

The only part that is not really working is Phoebus' part because the character in the musical (and the book) is very different from the one in the disney movie. In the disney movie phoebus is pictures like a romantic prince whereas in the musical poebus is kind of a jerk who is only sexually interested in Esmeralda .

But Frollo and Quasimodo's parts are amazing.

I think Frollo is also character also in the movie. There, he' s mean and cruel, and everything a good disney villain should be, but in the book, he's much more human, and complex. He's a bigoted man yes, but he's mainly afraid of those he persecutes, and ignorant of them and their ways and one shouldn't forget, in middle age and hugo's time, such behaviour was considered normal and healthy. Also, his feelings toward esmeralda are not as hateful at first than the movie makes them out to be.

Ah, I love it. This song is beautiful. All the voices have such power and feeling, it's so pleasant to listen to. They portray the feelings of Quasimodo, Frollo, and Phoebus so well.

Their voices also sound painful when they sing their "Ô" lines... (Especially Phoebus with "Ô Fleur-de-Lys Je ne suis pas homme de foi...")

Great editing as well.

OMG... I LOVE this musical - saw the whole thing on DVD for the first time last night, but have been in love with "Belle" for the last few weeks. And since "Hellfire" is more or less the most flipping AMAZING scene EVER, seeing it as the visual to Daniel Lavoie's amazing voice just gave me goosebumps. :)

I dont know if I already said this, but in the Disney version the only one who actually: Glisser mes doights dans le cheveux de Esmeralda...was Frollo. Actually in the Disney film, despise Esmeralda kiss to Phoebus and her kiss on Quasi cheek, Frollo is the one who she have more physical interaction...He grab her in Notre Dame, he caressed her cheek , the scene of the rope etc..

- this is a beautiful song, and associating it with anime is abhorring.
