To the untrained eye (meaning most of the 6ish billion pairs of eyes in the world), West Coast can bear some resemblance to Salsa. It moves in a (to the non-dancer) similar backward-and-forward way, with give and take, in an 8-beat measure. Yes, the differences are extremely pronounced as well, but it seems like anyone who unwittingly makes the comparison on here is ignored and given many "thumbs down" without a word of explanation. This seems kinda unfair.
