  • SA's remedy against bigots: Become a bigot yourself! =)

  • how about the governmnet get out of the marriage business all together

  • @TheJoelef Impractical, because then "marriage" would have no legal meaning anymore.

  • @therealaj123 If it a sacred sacrament like the religious rights says it is why should have a legal meaning in the first place? does my baptism have a "legal" meaning? do bar mitfaz have "legal meanings"

    ?

  • @TheJoelef Are you in favor of a legal contract for marriage? Don't get me wrong, I want government out of the marriage business too, but after enlisting in the army, I realized that if I wanted to marry my girlfriend and have her live with me, then I'd need it to be legal. Basically, if there's no legal documentation, it could tear apart my small family, and she wouldn't recieve the needed monetary benefits while I'm deployed.

  • I don't care what anyone says, I'm not ''homophobic'' but gay marriage is not and never will be equal to a hetrosexual marriage. I'm sorry if that offends any homosexuals out there, but that's just the honest truth. BTW, I'm Indian.

  • I'd like some salt on this tasty, delicious irony.

  • haha your lame,

  • Interesting video, but misses a huge point. When you break down the demographics by age, young people of ALL ethnic and racial backgrounds were opposed to Prop 8. Overall 61% of 18-29 year old opposed prop 8. when broken down by race/ethnicity 67% of white 18-29 year olds support gay marriage and 59% of Latino 18-29 year olds support gay marriage. And those not old enough to vote are even more supportive of gay marriage. so no worries supporting human rights for all. Oh and I'm a gay Latino.

  • Which is why their parents should push their beliefs down their childrens throats. Bottom line.

  • The greatest joke about these gay rights is that gays always had the right to be gay even in the middle ages you could be gay if you kept it in closed doors in the 18th century it was not a heavy social burden no more to be gay well only religious but isnt that the same today?

  • They're a huge difference between white liberals and non white liberals. Non whites are acting out of self interest.

  • right. white libs are consciously or unconsciously suicidal

  • Good point

  • Good point, and true

  • f. you americans

  • ahhh stay in Bolivia

  • This post could be titled "The Law of Unintended Consequences as Applied to Social Engineering"

The imperial right and the culture-shaping left have many things in common most of all: A glaring lack of foresight

  • The wast coast is still the left coast. The empire will not quit until it subjugates all who disagree.

  • I lived in California a long time ago, and there were shitloads of Mexicans who refused to assimilate. I think the best policy toward illegal aliens sneaking over the border is a shoot-on-sight policy.

  • The illegal aliens have never shown any interest in "assimilating" into American society. They don't plan on Americans being here in the future.

  • i lost my solar installation company because i refused to hire illegals to work for my company... faulty installations are the destruction of our subisdised alternative energy plan... wait wait you just put solar panels in the sun and they work right... hahaha dont mind the 10 year high and low temperatures and silicon efficiency charts given by the manufactures....

fine every small business person for hiring illegals.. drive the need away and the people will stop coming here

  • from a cali boy, u are so right. i voted against 8 cuz really who cares about the gays letem do what they want. but the churches really have a grip on power in cali

  • That started to seem a bit redundant towards the end, but kind of funny and entertaining. I'm going to have to pass this one along to someone.

On a side note, I've been a little surprised at the opposition to gay marriage by Catholics and the Catholic church ever since I'd learned that this church had itself in the past sanctioned homosexual marriages. But then, I don't suppose the Catholic members are required to know about every strange practice or abuse in the history of their church.

  • hey atleast we no there is some things that wetbacks, niggers and rednecks agree on

    fuck homos!!

  • yes massa

  • lol. i love how the white liberal wants all the nonwhites in this country and then the nonwhites they they bring their socially conservative values with them.

  • lol! "have their wedding cake and eat tacos too"... anyway, I think you're wrong here. the next generation AMONG ALL DEMOGRAPHICS is a lot less opposed to gay marriage than the current generation of people aged 40 and up.

  • That's curious. If true, I expect it applies less to blacks, who overwhelmingly already are native born Americans for several generations.

  • LOL why are South Carolina rednecks even bothered about California fag politics? South Carolinians get shot dead in Iraq and the ones who stay in the state make $7 dollars an hour. LOL the dumbest state in the union!

  • Moonbats vs moonbats.

I love it! Keep it up!

  • keep it up

  • If you want to come to the US then go through Legal means to do so, if you want to come to the US and be an Illegal Immigrant then I firmly believe its time to use a German group called the Gustopo to find you and remove you from this nation, by any means necessary. I don't mind immigrants if they come here the right way, but come here the wrong way and I have no remorse for you and never will.

  • It's spelled gestapo fucknut.

  • fuck nut is two words dip shit

  • Spin it anyway you want you fucktarded assmonkey, you're still wrong.

  • Keep trying SA, you bigot. Latinos are taking over the south as well. No more self important white boys going on and on about the lost cause that finished over 150 years ago. White privilege is finally dying.

  • Only to be replaced by a new type of privilege. As if that makes things any better.

  • This is incredibly stupid and racist.

  • Marriage is a scam! the cristian right nor the gays will get the law they want!

  • being against illegals is NOT racist

  • As long as beurocrats in far off places centrally design plans that rule our lives, as is happening more and more, we have to be prepared to endure hell in America. California is sad reality we all have to look forward to under this present system.

  • As proud as I was as a black American when Barack Obama won the election, I was also stupified and felt shame beyond expression to see such ignorance on the part of my "peoples". If we (being black, I include myself as part of the whole) cannot understand that bigotry towards homosexuals (Or just bigotry in general) is no different than the bigotry that was committed against us, then we forfeit the inheritance of a wealth of lessons to be learned from our history in this nation.

  • Go watch zennie62's vid on Prop 8.

My own opinion is actually that blacks got very offended by the idea that something as simple as Prop 8 could somehow be the same as segregation, Jim Crow, George Wallace, and 400 years of racism which still exists in this country.

Both stances are bigotry. That's where the similarities end.

  • Jack: Homos aren't done fighting in CA. Back in 2000 liberal judges overturned the will of a majority and I'm afraid this time may be no different. Its just goes to show you that Democracy works only for minorities when they get the results they want.

  • Interesting analysis. About the only thing SA missed is that Latinos as a class are abandoning Catholicism in droves, quite often for for variants of Pentecostalism, but I guess that doesn't really matter if the question is confined to gay marriage.

The bottom line appears to be that as the number of Latinos in CA goes up, the likelihood of gay marriage via referendum in CA goes down.

  • i remember when "gays" hated the idea of marriage. what happened? the whole purpose of this issue in the corporate media is to distract the masses from the war. it's worked like a charm.

  • This analysis is absolutely on point.

I wonder if the earlier amnesty under Reagan back in the '80's led to Prop. 8's passing.

  • It has been my experience in my travels that most people in non-European countries are very racist. The idea foisted upon Americans that only white people are racist and the rest of the world lives in blissful, racial harmony is a farce.

  • The state should stay out of marriage all together. It's an institution of the church. How dare the state say they have to "recognize" marriage or that they are involved in marriage at the court house. And HOW DARE THEY say that they have to issue a license for it!

  • ha ha ha ha

  • you sir are stuck in the southern stone age

  • wtf! lol! rofl! 3:36, the guy with bert and ernie on the sign saying "support gay marriage!" thats some funny stuff right there.

  • I still can't get over "have their wedding cake and eat their taco too". LOL.

The political "norms" as received by the hippi generation and their minions (aka Marxists) is just as contradictory as the quasi-conservative pseudo-libertarian generation (aka Neocons). I lost hope in the concept of democratic-republicanism a long time ago. I don't expect it to get better. As a Christian, I hope for the concept of "tolerant conservatism" to prevail socially, but not via a corrupt state.

  • Christianity didn't really get hard against homosexuality untill the 6th century when the emperor Justinian criminalized it.

There is actually evidence of same sex marriages done by the early church.

  • lol, SA you have a way with words that must be a god given gift.

  • Great commentary, great points.

  • I love this. Its a cycle that feeds upon itself. The way I see it though is that no matter how the people of different races voted, they were all Americans, that voted, and had their voices heard no matter which way the vote came out.

  • 5-stars, sir. An especially nice bite to this commentary.

  • we need to tell government to lay off of marriage and give that responsibility back to the local community. slimey bastards.

  • I agree 100%.

  • ... I care if there are more taco stands in my neighborhood than burger fastfood places? You know , in the 1800's and 1900's many Americans didn't welcome irish immigrants who first arrived on the American scene. Many didn't like the culture irish stereotypes a few irish people exhibited.

  • Lots of people confuse the issue when it comes to illegal immigration.

To my mind, the issue isn't the immigration, it's the illegal. I don't care where you're from, if you don't belong here, get out, or we should kick you out.

Yes America wasn't very welcoming of the Irish, but they came here legally, and became citizens of the US. That's not happening with most of the current immigrants. Most work here and send the money home.

  • But SA has said in other videos about immigration that the demographic of a nation matters ,whether foreigners are here legally or not. I disagree, because this nation has never had a single demographic in this country. I don't care if the demographics of this country shifts in the next thirty years, just as long as the new majority follows the US constitution and respects the legacy the founding fathers created for the young new country.

  • I'll go look up some of his stuff on immigration, and get back to you in a couple of days once I have both sides in front of me.

  • I don't think it's demographic that concerns him per se. It's the attitude of said demographic.

If the entire nation of Papua New Guinea moved to Wyoming, learned English, became citizens, and kept their culture along with respecting and abiding by ours, there'd be no problem. (And a reality tv show)

It's the disrespect that gets at him. And me.

You and I agree, I feel like... I just think you're misinterpreting SA's position.

    Source: "The Mexification of America"

  • Exactly, many people I know across all cultures feel immigrants should learn the culture, language, and customs of America. My second generation Cuban friend echoes these sentiments. There is one American identity that should be adhered to across the board. However, there is NO problem with immigrants respecting their culture and abiding by ours. I guarantee you if I tried to do what some illegals are doing in any other country I would not be accomodated or tolerated.

  • To sum up SA's video: Progressives may be tolerant of everybody... but that doesn't mean that everyone they're tolerant of will be tolerant of each other.

  • me: and kept their culture along with respecting and abiding by ours, there'd be no problem.

you: However, there is NO problem with immigrants respecting their culture and abiding by ours.

We're on the same side here, tarzan.

  • I know we're on the same side, that's what I was pointing out. People seem to think our position is intolerant when in fact its the least intolerant position out there.

  • Why do you believe race matters SA talking about the overall demographic of our country? I know what I about to say is going to sound cliche but the race of a person is irrelevant as long as the adhere to the principles found in the US constitution. Like acknowcledging that the gov't will not establish an institution favoring one religion over all other religions, then I am fine with them coming over. There isn't homogeneous culture where everyone is white and a protestant. Why should..

  • It's a noble cause, but that doesn't change the fact that they're illegal and not supposed to be here.

  • My thoughts exactly... Thank You SA.

  • That was great!

  • I am not sure why Faggots want to be marriage, Its a failed destroyed institution with no fixes by the Government, Churches, or the people who believe in either.

Divorce is fast approaching 80% among hetros, among the Christians, and among to pagans... So are faggots going to be any less or more damming Marriage and children?

At least there would be no children to destroy as the hetros have done, hopefully

  • There's adoption.

  • Keep marriage private. Get the government OUT of the issue!

  • 4% doesnt seem all that significant. If republicans had a viable candidate whites would have probably picked up at least 4% for.

  • interesting stuff SA

  • These religious nutjobs always use the old testamet in order to justify their personal idoligy... I have yet to hear one christian ask: What would Jesus do. Probably Jesus wouldnt have done anything, he would have let them be and continued to preach his gosphal. I am not white, I am hispanic, and I understand why they get the way they do, they are scared of nothing. Even if gay marrage passes, its not the church who will marry them, the state will. Let them be gay, what does anybody care

  • The old testament is legacy from judaism and that's where the homophobia stems from. Old testament is very different from Jesus' gospel/ new testament. Jesus will probably accept them like he did Mary Magdalene and trough his philosophy they could only become better people if they already aren't.

  • Did Mary Magdelene remain a lustful prostitute (even though it's not explicit in Scripture that she was one), or did she convert and change her ways? Jesus does in fact love everyone, but he loves them too much to let them stay in their sinful ways. If he discarded the Old, why does he say that he came not to abolish the Old Law, but to fulfill it? Do yourself a favor and actually sit down and read what Jesus actually said.

  • You are out of context regarding my comment. That is obviously not what I meant, and if we go with your lines, then we should be stoning people to death and enslaving our neighbors.

  • Why IS the Catholic Church so conservative anyway? It's like the only religious group based in Europe that still clings to that ideology. It's very weird, if you ask me. Even Protestants are liberal there now. Are most Catholics in Europe conservative, or is it just the clergy?

  • Catholics really need to question the dogma a little and realize the Bible is not a political manifesto. You can be liberal or conservative and be a good Christian. God said nothing about abortion, and I am irritated to death by evangelical nuts who take verses out of context that refer to how God "knew ye in the womb." God is not a politician, simply put. Ideology should be left to each individual to decide, not a church. Otherwise, it becomes kind of a political cult.

  • What's ironic is that, while the same white Europeans started the Enlightenment and become more 'liberal' and open-minded, eventually leading to progressivism, Europeans in gov't, when it came to people OTHER than their own (ie nonwhite), were very racist and ultraconservative (by old standards). And of course, the most intolerant of minorities are in countries where we've essentially 'polluted' their minds with ultraconservative Christian Catholic (or Protestant, maybe) dogma.

  • If the conquistadors and European invaders hadn't screwed with foreign peoples in the 1800s and early 1900s, we might be looking at at least more tolerant folks who would've been able to stay open-minded and keep their own religious and ideological traditions. I mean, even the Phillipines is a majority Christian, along with South Korea!

At least Native Americans are still largely for gay rights, at least some of the tribes. And who is most liberal now? Europeans. Pretty ironic.

  • Gay marriage really affects who in terms of current marital law? If such rights are extended to homosexuals, how does that single issue ensure the downfall of America? Scandanavia has gay marriage and those countries are still functioning.

Last I checked, racking up a federal deficit so monstrous because of our want for perpetual war is likely a more logical candidate for bringing the downfall of America.

Southern Avenger's analysis of why Prop 8 failed makes sense though.

  • 5:10

    LOL!!!!!!

  • wedding cake and tacos...haha

  • I think Prop 8 sucks, but I am in no way surprised by this at all.

  • and that's, what we call irony.

  • all you stated about cali. would hold true here in fl. gays here lost the same vote this year.

  • Very well said.

  • My, my, my, such arrogance. "Only with an elitist college education" could one truly see the world properly". What B.S.

Do you need to be reminded that the world progressed quite nicely for centuries without a university propagandized elite?

Whatever happened to your leftist solicitousness for the economically and academically deprived? Kinda gets lost in the shuffle when the go against sexually deviant social policy, huh?

    I do love it !!!

  • "Only with an elitist college education" could one truly see the world properly".

Yeah, that is a pretty arrogant statement.

I think you'd better check the name of the Youtube user before you hit 'reply' to a comment since you quoted and then addressed the wrong person there, kiddo.

Unless you've built a strawman for yourself to take a few swipes at, then by all means, keep beating it.

  • Well, little one, on my screen it comes up correctly. Perhaps you need a little calibration.

  • You're committing a logical fallacy by pointing out where I said poverty breeds ignorance, and strawmanning it by saying:

"Only with an elitist college education" could one truly see the world properly"."

I'm actually pretty amused, but go ahead and move forward on beating that strawman.

  • I am more in agreement with you than not. However, is your anti-religion bigotry any more or less worse than religious intolerance for homosexuality? Take the state out of the equation totally. Heck, take the state out of about 98% of what it already has its nose in.

  • "Heck, take the state out of about 98% of what it already has its nose in."

Amen. Hope my generation collectively comes to their senses and stops seeking the lifestyles and beliefs of government dependents.

  • I am glad to see such a young fellow-traveller. To save the America that once was your generation may have to break up what is here now.

  • The gay thing won't stop until God sends a disease that makes AIDS look like a common cold.

  • AIDS isn't mutually exclusive to gays, tempusfugit68.

  • It started with them. You engage in unnatural behavior then nature will root you out.

  • "It started with them"

LOL. No it didn't, AIDS originated from Africa with a chimpanzee.

  • Propaganda. The first 8 cases of AIDS (it use to be called GRID) in America were all gay men who contracted it while in France. You can hide you head in the sand all you want but you'll pay the piper eventually.

  • What the fuck does that have to do with gay marriage?

  • tattypatty you are a fucking moron. Do you have any idea what Prop 8 is? You uneducated ignorant fuck. Is it true that you just cant imagine minorities being prejudiced?

  • ARe you retarded, you bitter asshole? I was responding to this comment by tempus: "

Propaganda. The first 8 cases of AIDS (it use to be called GRID) in America were all gay men who contracted it while in France. You can hide you head in the sand all you want but you'll pay the piper eventually."

I repeat: what the fuck does that have to do with gay marriage?

  • Tattypatty,

lmao my comment was pretty angry wasn't it? If it matters I had had a shitty day and didn't know you were replying to someone else. So, my apologies. For some reason the "reply" function here doesn't work at all.

I agree, that statement has nothing to do with gay marriage.

  • No probs. I'm guilty of the same sin numerous times. Hope the weekend is better....

  • rockonchucktown

Tattypatty is right! You are a retarded bitter asshole.

"I had had a shitty day..."

that doesn't excuse being a retarded bitter asshole.

  • Hmm well considering I'm about to get a university degree I don't think I'm retarded. You call me bitter?! lmao! All your comments about christianity show how bitter you are fucking keyboard warrior! What, did some priest rape you as a child? ...its time to move on.

there's a difference between being a bitter and getting pissed at a moron like yourself on youtube.

  • I wonder who was having sex with the chimpanzee. But can marriage for chimpanzees be far off given the social changes mandated by judicial thugs in their black robes?

  • You're wrong. AIDS originated with old people with hearing problems.

    Ok, I'll shut up. :-)

  • Beltone... leading distributor of AIDS since... (oh i can't finish it)

  • There is evidence that the gays intentionally polluted the blood supply also.

  • Ooookay, I think it's time to take your meds there.

  • tempusfugit68. " There is also evidence that gays intentionally polluted the blood supply". Would you care to provide this evidence ?

  • Romans 1:26-28

26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

  • 28: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

  • SuperAtheist,

There is nothing super about you, you are sick!

  • You make some really great points SA. I wonder if they would be willing to take your stance on immigration if they knew it meant gaining marriage equality. Judging from some of the videos of the protests, they may soon be coming closer to your POW soon.
