@guiy16 hey don't insult Russians I'm not a Russian and I feel outraged. There are pretty good Russian gymnasts like Evgenia Kanaeva (who in fact is my favourite along with Anya) and Daria Kondakova. I love Zhenya's pivots especially the backscale ones and there's nothing wrong with spinning. But you can't deny that Anna is the Queen of leaps. yeah, and again please don't be a racist.

@guiy16 Where abouts in this routine does she do it? Forgive me, I am not totally familiar with all the names of the elements. I absolutely adore her triple split leap combination. That is very difficult to have the leg strength to hit splits on all three leaps. requires great dynamic flexibility, in the hip flexions.

I do love Anya; she has been a real stalwart and a great ambassador for the sport of RG, but her routines are all show and lack substance. I didnt see any huge difficulties in this; she never uses her back. To compete successfully she would have had to up her difficulty dramatically, and that just wasnt going to happen, sadly. I much prefer Kanaeva's classy balletic routines to Anyas showy, over dramatic performances.

@ralucagymnast I understand your point of view, but i think Kanaeva's routines have no "climax". they're like boring, and all she does is high difficulties just to get a higher score. Anya's routines are really showy, but I like it better than Evgeniya's. Bessonova shows de art of Rhythmics, it entertains people. Kanaeva is good and flexible, but not so shiny as Anya is.

yes i agree..anna did it best...not only that kanaeva made a mistake.. so there's no reason that anna will only be given bronze..i love them both but sometimes we have to consider their ups and downs ryt? so i think it was really biased..

She's defiinitly the best of her generation, what a shame judges can see it.
