  • Ivan another great review. I just wish you would talked about the comfort and quietness (or lack of) in your videos. Maybe there is a reason but you don't seem to bring them up much.

    Thanks!

  • My had originally wanted to buy this but it was above my budget so I went with something that I never would've bought normally, but it'll keep it's value and I won't loose that much on it when I trade it in for something I really want someday...because I liked it so much I recommended it to a friend of mine and after haggling she got the 4wd automatic with a bunch of stuff on it for $21,800..its a great car.

  • FYI that button to the left that says P with the sound waves is not for "Parking brake off" it is for the reverse warning tone so you can have the option to hear when your getting closer to what your going to hit or not

  • @tony....i agree except for cases where people get a used awd vehicle with crappy tires...tires mean everything in snow, a subaru outback with crap tires will be worse than a camry with some winter tires on it. A new SUV like this fresh off the lot, of course AWD is much much better tho....as for rear wheel drive...i think however percentage better awd is to fwd, that's the different in fwd vs rwd....my 2003 Honda Acord coupe kicked my 94 Grand Marquis ass.

  • @TonyGehrig i guess you didn't read my comment well enough...I'm saying AWD with old, brittle tires will suck in the snow...Motortrend took an AWD Juke to Alaska and they had to stop to throw better tires on it...same with my mom's CRV, the tires after x many miles just made driving terrible, even in the snow, I slid backwards down the on ramp....if we took awd and fwd and had the same tires of course awd would be better, that's obvious...

  • @TonyGehrig stop bein such an ass dude..you said in your reply to me "are we assuming awd cars have bad tires"...i never assumed that because it's stupid...then you said "are you arguing that tires make more difference..." Im saying good tires make all the difference, which is why I said as long as the tires are good, driving in areas where there's snow and ice shouldn't be too much of a problem...so my comment wasn't out of nowhere...I don't even think my original comment was aimed at you

  • @TonyGehrig I have my own car and live in my own place...ur backlash at me was more immature than anything I've said and the anger is really stupid especially since you have a problem with a comment I said 4 months ago and forgot about...if it was elementary/obvious just ignore it like a normal person, but nope, you start the pointless name calling...I was talking to people who don't think about those things, who buy an SUV from Carmax thinking they're all good but in the winter they slip around

  • @vicmackey1268 I see nothing wrong with this comment...the first thing people should do when checking out a used car they intend on purchasing is make sure the tires are ok...I even said "I agree"...then I said a brand new SUV like this would be great....then I said rwd is worse than fwd, fwd is worse than awd, which should be a very obvious statement...the last part is my example....now my mom's CRV was great last year but not this winter cuz the tires sucked, replaced the tires, good again.

  • @TonyGehrig, totally agree. 4x4 a must in the NE, even if you only need it a couple times a year, its totally worth it. you never plan on getting snowed in/out.

  • @TonyGehrig FWD is much better than RWD...the balance of the car is completely different...if you threw hundreds of pounds in the trunk than maybe it would be the same...that's why 2wd trucks have bags of salt/dirt/etc in the bed in the winter to keep them from slipping everywhere...throw winter tires on a fwd car and as long as you don't have a friggin turbo with tons of torque steer people should be fine in the winter...as long as you don't live in the mountains where awd is necessary

  • @TonyGehrig I've been to North Dakota...in the winter...I drove to Wall Drug after going through Wyoming after Yellowstone/Badlands to Mt. Rushmore, then went up...I think my rental was a Crown Vic or something which I immediately traded in when we got there cuz the RWD sucked...we then got a Taurus and did just fine most of the way...when it started snowing heavier we got the Explorer and it was great...I never said once that fwd was better, of course awd is better just stop bitchin at me

  • @TonyGehrig If I lived there I'd get an awd car...I want one here and it's only Chicago...I fail to see how u have a problem with me when I've said from the beginning that I'd rather drive awd...my only comment was that if my awd car (lets say a Kia Sportage) had horrible tires on it, the car would still slip and the fwd car with the really good snow tires next to me would be better....I think every rational person would agree with that...but nicely done on the PhD.

  • @TonyGehrig......I know people who've bought an old car from Carmax and in the winter they wondered why they were slipping and blamed it on bad awd...when I looked at their car their tires sucked....my comment was more directed at those people who don't think about things like that...I guess you didn't get that so sorry for being confusing, but it's still no cause for swearing and calling people names, don't get so worked up over a youtube post..
