lol, actually, the game gives you those two options, you can stay at the starting of the area with the raptors and you have to fight like six of them, but if you run all the way across the room and stay at the end then you have to fight the raptors, the pukers and some slashers........damn programers! lol the force gun takes care of those raptors easy.
