Safety glasses and no jewelry when using power tools; dangerous stuff. No one has put a fan half way on the metal because it's pointless. Put masking tape on your cuts so you don't screw up the paint.

The reason why no one places a fan half on and half off of a Case Window is because its highly inefficient for the fan and will reduce the amount of airflow into the case.

Also you don't need a square to makes lines perpendicular use a ruler to mark your mesurements then trace the lines (for those who dont own such a tool)

iven just recently moded a shity hp standard case took it all apart and then painted it orange and black just need to cut the window out and spray an orange monster m on the opposite side :) i sanded the full case then primed it then spray it all balck and the right parts orrange but even the inside is black :)

If you use a little grinder rememper to score your lines first then cut through give you a way better cut

use a flat straight edge instead of sharpy marker and cut along side it, you can also simply use the grinder to score a straight line then bend it over for a clean factory like edge, try that next time either way is ok but I like bending the metal over inside for rounded edge then you may have to hammer it lightly to flatten it on a piece of wood. no rubber edging needed, looks perfect when you get it all done too, you da man! you go boi!!

i hated the result of that metal grinder, my cuts was pretty clean for this machine though, but i still didn't like it after months i mounted it in my case

but months later, i decided on using a manual nibbler that took me about an hour, but it seemed like 30 min. it was the cheapest solution

next time, its time to invest on dremels

In socks !!!! right on , I built skateboard ramps with power tools/saws and all with no "protection" , I do NOT advocate it but know/watch what you are doing and you cant fail.....I have all digits to this day and not one scar from doing it.

Why would you do this? Most cases come with side windows. You can buy a decent one for around £80.

Probably should use blue painter's tape or something on the side you're cutting on so you don't chip all the paint and cut it crooked and so there aren't any jagged edges

Instead of using that grinder, get a jig saw with a metal blade, way easier and faster than wht ur doing in the video. I used it for my antec 1200 case mod, check it in my channel. Then once u cut it out get some rubber grommet for the edges and some thick double sided tape industrial strength and put ur plexi glass there. I used real glass for mine so it doesnt scratch but it does make it way heavier
