  • I just finished a book on the Transcontinental Railroad, and I have to say, after what all those people (both men and women) did to build it, it is reassuring to see that history is being remembered in this way. Additionally, as a self-acknowledged "ferroequinologist" or "train nut", I've purchased models of both the Jupiter and #119 locomotives.

  • they are working replicas built if I remember right in the early 70s the origional two locomotives from that have long since been scraped years ago
