@BTMLOL The police here in the US carry firearms because the population is free to own firearms (with certain conditions). So, seeming as probably 70-80% of American adults own some type of firearm, it would not be very wise for our police force to go around unarmed. Being free to own a firearm and defend myself with it is just one of the may reasons I appreciate living here.

Our highway patrol and state troopers are anything but lazy, same goes for many local cops.

It's just one big Jerry Springer audience to the insecure and the dumb, when in fact they work longer hours than the Japanese and have more Nobel Prizes and first-class universtities than, well, any other country by far. Oh, and the Australians have a higher rate of obesity, but where's the fun in hating on them?

most of southern england (save for the posh people) dont pronounce t's but its only when the t isnt at the start of the word - so we would pronounce the t in toyota. but not in water
