Difficult for me to answer as I have no idea what Kangaroo Island is like. But it's a long way out of your way to take in the Great Ocean Road. It is a lovely drive but if you have kids, it will probably mean nothing to them. I'm sure they'd prefer Kangaroo Island, so I'd probably be inclined to go for that. my family are visiting family in Oz this year and we have to drive between Wangaratta in N Victoria to Adelaide. We are only visiting for 3 weeks and so I need to decide the 'must do's' . Do you think this is a 'must' ? I think it comes down to this OR Kangaroo Island. So hard to know
