A good review, but please, if you havent already since making this review, lower the volume of the game for future reviews, since your soft voice was pretty hard to hear over the games throughout the review.
Y'know, this is going to sound somewhat weird, but thanks to this video you made me realize...well, remember, that I have the soundtrack for this game. I say it may sound weird because I usually have all my soundtracks organized, and this one was, for whatever reason, in my hamper. And before you ask, I've no idea why it was there.
Anyways, nice synopsis. You should lower the volume of the gameplay a tiny bit, though. But overall, it was highly informative. =)
Thankfully the thing was at the very bottom, otherwise I'd would've end up with a mishmash. =P
And all my pleasure; I certainly should look around my subscribers channels more often, 'cause I may be missing on some good stuff, like I was with your for instance. =)
Granted, I'm not a BIG fighting game fan, but I do love their OSTs, story, and often extravagant characters. Plus, it's usually the kind of game that helps me blow off some steam.
Then it looks like you've dropped by at the right time; I'm putting up the first of a 3-part Halloween special tomorrow, and it's going to focus more on characters and atmosphere than game mechanics.
Too bad Sunsoft isn't around to make a sequel, There's anime/manga archtypes all over the place now. One would just hop over to TVTropes and boom, he or she would probably have at least 20 solid characters before the day is done.
I used to play this game a lot as a kid in my neighbourhood's arcade and I still play it whenever I can (in Kawaks or in PS2 thx to that Sunsoft's game collection (Hey! They forgot to put Astra Superstars in the disc ¬¬).
It's short in characters and its plot it's kind of DB ripoff (7 balls that grant any wish...^^U) but gameplay wise it's quite interesting and gotta love that OST.
The fact that they didn't put Astra Superstars in the Sunsoft Collection annoyed me a lot. I waited until The Best version came out instead. I would have used that one instead, but it still hasn't arrived yet :(

In the arcade version the power meter goes up automatically on it's own without action, which makes it go up even quicker.
I own a copy of this one and it's definitely my favourite Neo Geo game as well as fighter ever.
But yea. Great review! Very indepth with great explanations.

Ah man I love this game, have it for the Saturn :D
Were you playing the Neo Geo Version in this vid?
I love this series of videos by the way! I'm really surprised they don't have more views. Please keep making them!

I'm glad that I was able to help jog your memory =)
Thank you for the comment and the advice. I always have issues with sound, but I'll try to keep the levels clean in the future.
