I'm going to be 50 in September of 2010. I listened to The Doors and American Prayer when I was in college. Morrison was the greatest lyricist in the 20th Century. He SUCKED as a poet, but he was the greatest lyricist for pop music EVER, Ever and Ever!!!!

I think in 50 to 75 years from now, if the human race survives that long Jim Douglas Morrison will finally be given the credit he deserves from his poetry. As we go through a time period of destruction we may eventually look back at this poem and all it symbolizes as purity in its greatest form. "Lets reinvent the Gods, All the myths of the ages"

I love Jim Morrison he had a vision that scared people back then, today he would not even be looked at as a good singer that is the truth. It's to bad he was taken from us to soon, but his words and music will alway's live in the hearts and mind's of all that listen to him.

I'm going to be 50 in September of 2010. I listened to The Doors and American Prayer when I was in college. Morrison was the greatest lyricist in the 20th Century. He SUCKED as a poet, but he was the greatest lyricist for pop music EVER, Ever and Ever!!!!
He lived a great life, and died at 27. What a pity, a waste, and a loss. RIP Jim Morrison. Your like is never to be repeated. We are all doomed to shit like Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. Doomed to marketed shit and hyperproduced feces.
