@jtchasezforlife it's a shame that in the current market just brilliant singing is so slow to be recognised, in favour of lightweight electronic pop. He's actually a really good dancer too, but his ballads don't lend themselves to that. Hopefully a third album is on its way - he's been writing recording in Los Angeles.

For a rain song, I just dig it & I may just buy it. It's uptempled but sounds A-O-K, honestly. I'm suprized myself. @raff23 Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but this was released long after Idol and could never have been the single. The Prayer smashed all records despite lack of radio play and it's still selling but this one also was number 1 as the first single to introduce his album. I only heard The Prayer once on the radio but have heard this lots of times. It's still fabulous live.

Wow, who said that all the talent is in America? Anthony Callea has a voice that the Gods would love. I don't think we have a voice like his in America. I have loved this song by Anthony since the very first time I ever heard it. I am so excited to hear that he sang it at his first Brisbane concert with Whitney Houston. I have seen Anthony sing it live at concerts a lot of times now and its even better when he sings it live. Anthony is such an amazing incredable dynamic energetic performer and entertainer live. He always leaves you longing for more. I can't wait to see him live as Whitney's special guest. Thank You Anthony.
Love this still and am happy he is still singing it to close shows on the Whitney Houston Tour. He opened with Go The Distance - such incredible range, so much more than the usual style of pop-singer. He's even better live than on CD.

Love this song still, its always a hit at his live concerts. This man is an amazing singer/entertainer. He is so multitalented. Loved seeing him in "RENT" and "WICKED" as well and can't wait for his new album due out mid 20 10'. He's also touring with Whitney Houston in Feb/Mar 10 when she tours Australia as part of her world tour. I just love how he can sing anything, he's the very best.

They need support of their record label something that doesnt happen. We are a small population in comparision to the US/Canada & UK thats part of the problem because we definately have the talent here. Wow, who said that all the talent is in America? Anthony Callea has a voice that the Gods would love. I don't think we have a voice like his in America. That is one talented young man that may just concur America like the Gibb brothers did. If I had 2 pages, I would use it all and still not run out of superlatives!!! Yes, he is that good and if they had a World Idol like they did 9 years ago, he would win going away. Brilliant !!!

I have loved this song by Anthony since the very first time I ever heard it. I am so excited to hear that he sang it at his first Brisbane concert with Whitney Houston. I have seen Anthony sing it live at concerts a lot of times now and its even better when he sings it live. Anthony is such an amazing incredable dynamic energetic performer and entertainer live. He always leaves you longing for more. I can't wait to see him live as Whitney's special guest. Thank You Anthony.

Love this still and am happy he is still singing it to close shows on the Whitney Houston Tour. He opened with Go The Distance - such incredible range, so much more than the usual style of pop-singer. He's even better live than on CD.

@mairanya1, I don't say that Anthony sings this song bad, Anthony is a good singer. I'm from sweden and I like Ola's version better. Ola is more hot then Anthony are, but thats what I think. Everyone else can think what they will but for me are Ola better.

Your on your own there Janna. I think what everyone is saying "why come and say that in the first place" but now that you mention him I have to say Ola struggles in live performances. Its not about hotness either its about the vocals.

@Janna5001 I would never post this in public normally. It's up to you if you like Ola, but Anthony's a far better singer. The live versions show the gulf between them. Anthony has nailed the song every time he's performed it for five years.

Of course, I always listen to that song, it's one of my favorites. I like the music video too. I didn;t know it shot to number one in the charts.

@ruantengyi Yes, it was a double A-side with Bridge Over Troubled Water. It was the 3rd highest-selling Australian single in 2005 (The Prayer was no 1).

I absolutely LOVE this song and have loved it even more the times Anthony has sung it live. Anthony is a phenomenal talent with a truely unique heavenly voice. He can sing any genre to absolute perfection. He is warm engaging and is really in the moment when he sings. He's a born entertainer who always leaves you wanting more . I can truely say no other artist has ever bought me as much musical joy as Anthony. I can't wait to see him as special guest for Whitney Houston. Thank You Anthony.

Love this song still, its always a hit at his live concerts. This man is an amazing singer/entertainer. He is so multitalented. Loved seeing him in "RENT" and "WICKED" as well and can't wait for his new album due out mid 20 10'. He's also touring with Whitney Houston in Feb/Mar 10 when she tours Australia as part of her world tour. I just love how he can sing anything, he's the very best.

@waly93 Maybe this tour will be a dent in the Billboard Industry already. He is almost unheard of here in Vancouver Canada. I came across him by chance as I was checking out idols, beside American Idol and saw Australia and then I checked out this prayer by Anthony and have checked out & palyed many videos by him over & over again. That voice & those looks...anyway I believe Anthony is devoted to his native Australia & fans...& dosen't want international stardom.

@Ezdduf4kuZ Its very hard for an Australian artist to break internationally, there really have been only a handful over the past 20 years. They need support of their record label something that doesnt happen. We are a small population in comparision to the US/Canada & UK thats part of the problem because we definately have the talent here. It seems to be the way now days to be discovered on Youtube, something that only just begun when Anthony burst onto the scene with The Prayer 6 yrs ago.

@Anthologist22 Was that the case with the Bee Gees, ELO, John Paul Young & Olivia. I agree with you but I won't turn my back on Ezdduf4kuZ, in that Anthony for one may not be seeking international stardom. He may just want to remain layback in his native Australia & therefore avoiding the concert spotlights, worldwide stardom would bring him.

yeah he announced he was about 3 years ago and he is going out with tim cambell the guy from home and away..lol. theres an interview that i saw a while ago as well of him saying his experience etc if you search on youtube. but i was quite suprised when he announced it, i never would have guessed.

I just love listening to Anthony's amazing voice. He sings every genre to absolute perfection. I love the times I have seen Anthony sing this song live. He really has the audience singing along with him he is the ultimate performer. I can't wait to hear Anthony's new album when its released.
