  • One thing to say... Commission! All those people passing the crossing, those tickets would satisfy someones quota for sure!

  • This is another cool video showing a railroad crossing on a Canadian highway. I've never seen anything like this in person.

  • it's very dangerous ...

  • You can almost hear the train crew buttholes collectively pucker as they approach the crossing.

  • alot of retards at this crossing

  • lol no one listens to that signal. Should be a gate. I can see numerous accidents on it.

  • @MrFoofy Gate would be busted off every time a train went through.

  • LOL

  • CN must take off this railroad crossing and replace it by an overpass, even if it might be expensive and even there are few trains that use this track, but it will be safer for drivers. Highway 20 is a major connection between Montreal and Quebec city and as it can be seen, drivers don't always have the time to stop just in time before the train passes. I heard that some accident occured in the past. I also borrowed Highway 20 many times in order to go to Drummondville and Quebec from Montreal.

  • Comment removed

  • thats a nice crossing.People flying about 500 mph down the road and then here comes a train

  • Even tho transfer movements do not require their ditch lights to be on, it's only common sense to have them on going through busy crossings like this.

  • Even in Indonesia, there's no level crossing at all in highways...

  • IS THIS A FREEWAY THAT THIS CROSSING'S ON??? IF IT IS.... WOW!!! Gates NOW!!!

  • @Trainking922 It IS a freeway; more exactly A-20 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.

  • et l'autre abruti avec sa remorque aurait mérité d'y passer définitivement !

  • That's why you need damn gates lol

  • Don't people just stop to let the train past?

    Omg, you canadians...

  • OMG I counted 9 cars pass thru on this side after the signal activated. THE TRAIN HAD TO STOP!!!! This crossing needs a gate BAD before someone dies.

  • @0100north The train HAS to stop. There is a mandatory stop rule in effect here, and stop signs can been found next to the track on either side of the crossing.

  • @0100north There was actually a fatal accident at this xing in 1987

  • Whoa! That is a dangerous railroad crossing and some cars didn't even stop when the signals first started ringing. I hope Quebec will do something or do they need more bribes and equalization payments to make it happen

  • thats an accident waiting to happen

  • @DrSurprise If i'm not mistaken, the last accident happened way back in january 2005 when a semi hit the tail of the train convoy, derailing two cars

  • Lots of people at this crossing are seriously stupid. Put gates at this crossing.

  • GP9 M?

  • This would never be allowed in the US

  • ok thats nuts,

My grace time for this crossing would be 5 seconds anyone crossing after 5 second should get a ticket. I counted 8 on the other side of the road and 9 on this side.

If they put up gates, the maintainer would be out there every day fixing the damn gate, not wroth it. If someone is dumb enough nail em' with the train or put up a camera there.

  • To the mayor of St. Hyacinthe, if you know "Anglais", then put some damm gates on this crossing!

  • @vietmaster3945

Its not the city who rule the transportation but the ministery of transport of Québec so the mayor can't do nothing

    sorry for my english :S

  • How often do you see action at this crossing?

  • @LanceCampeau Twice a day, from monday to friday

  • @mlemay1975 If it's twice a day, That should be good enough for CN to install gates at this xing. Will they or will they leave it the way it is?

  • @Trainking922 If they installed gates, they would have to replace them a couple times a week, at least...

  • @Trainking922 They will leave this crossing gates-free because like lepetitnabot said, CN would have to replace the barriers every now and then anyway due to semis coming in over 100+ km/h (remember this a FREEWAY) and not being able to stop in time

  • That car at 0:43 is a perfect example of an idiot!

  • Come on. This is on a freeway. Every driver there knows that the Train will slow down before crossing. Even tank trucks are not required to stop at this particular crossing with an Exempt sign.

  • Wow this crossing really needs gates!

  • @ekoslosky You're absolutely right!

This is Quebec: the province who got the worst care for transportation laws & rules.

  • Thanks you, Videos very nice,

  • what morons.

  • @storm24awesome What do you mean ? I've never said that on my comments about this video ?

  • @Sylvain603 i meant the people going through the crossing when the crossing was going off

  • @Sylvain603 Oh,yeah, yeah. I know what you mean. Those motorists going the crossing even the railroad grade signals flashing and the train is not far away.

    Yes. That's sure.
