How in the blue hell does eating plants stop in anyway deforestation? If neo-hippies really wanted to make a difference, wouldn't they include the self-restraint of unnatural things like the internet? While these words are being read, somewhere a confused bee will fail to pollinate your precious carrot ^.~
@sleepyriggles I won't argue about deforestation and Veganism with you, the vast amount of information out there should suffice. I too can make insignificant comments that don't move us forward, instead, I choose to reduce my personal impact that affects the progressive destruction of our environment and animals used for food, rather than sit idle and criticize others. What do you do?. I've had the same computer for 7 years now, and I don't go out and buy the latest technology as it comes out.
@sleepyriggles Further. I try and minimize my carbon footprint in every choice I make, and being Vegan is a major contributor. I realize I can't avoid indirectly hurting and animal, but what I do definitely minimizes the unnecessary cruelty in our world. Now get off your ass and do something.
@truth2748 Sounds good but everything you said was fluff and rhetoric. I did lol after all your inactions about trying and choosing to do nothing, you said "Now get off your ass and do something" though. That was funny.
Veganism is the praxis of abolishing speciesism in our lives. After years of studying ancient Hindu non theistic religions such as the Jain, Donald Watson coined the word Vegan. He explained that a Vegan is someone who avoids all animal exploitation. It is the western version of Jainism. Jains have been practicing this(living with the rule of Ahimsa) since the 6th century BC. So, the simple answer is.. a Vegan is someone who avoids all animal exploitation. Thats it!.
This video is dishonest, idealistic and oversimplified.
veganism is far less destructive than and omnivorous diet, but a vegan world would be far from sustainable. Meat contributes to about 18% of greenhouse gases. What about the other 80 or so percent?
Veganism is a response to cruelty, not the answer to the worlds problems and not a commitment to pacifism. Stop hijacking vegansim and turning it into a religion.
Thanks for posting this video, it is so true.
I wish more people knew about this.

Propaganda like this really irks me.
it's implying that people who eat meat intend to destroy the world.
Most of the points aren't well thought out either.

Great video!!
In the next video, maybe you can explain how veganism does all of these things. Surely, there are people that are wondering this. (:
