Also a bear would always win against a tiger because its swipe from its claws would simply decapitate the cat. They are better grapplers than tigers, have more flexible forelimbs, have similar speeds turning and swiping speeds, can take more damage and have a big height/strength advantage and are very stable. Also, ambushing is not the same as fighting and carcasses larger than 600LB are RARE. They've found tiger carcasses too, which is very impressive given the bears are the ones who get ambush. Bears frequently visibly steal tiger kills as well.

Disputes over a kill, the brown bear always wins. There's no record of a tiger fighting off a bear from its kill. Brown Bears even follow tigers to take the kills the tiger makes, sometimes even sleep in the same den.

@ChudFapper too bad bears CAN use strength properly. They are better grapplers than tigers, have more flexible forelimbs, have similar speeds turning and swiping speeds, can take more damage and have a big height/strength advantage and are very stable. Also, ambushing is not the same as fighting and carcasses larger than 600LB are RARE. They've found tiger carcasses too, which is very impressive given the bears are the ones who get ambush. Bears frequently visibly steal tiger kills as well.

Do some research bud. Tigers can only hunt bears by ambush. Leaping on them catching them off guard and biting the spinal chord. However. Brown Bears do not fear tigers. Disputes over a kill, the brown bear always wins. There's no record of a tiger fighting off a bear from its kill. Brown Bears even follow tigers to take the kills the tiger makes, sometimes even sleep in the same den.

Think about how amazing that is, given the tiger is able to run away if it feels it's in danger and tigers are far more wary of injury than bears because they must hunt for meat. For a brown bear to kill a tiger means it had to all out dominate it and that's not even a Grizzly or a Kodiak. Sorry bud, but your favorites pussies get stomped.

@Pumpernickel006900 I'm telling you you didn't get all the facts. Tigers are unlikely to try and predate a brown bear larger than 600 pounds and would ONLY do so in an ambush situation. Tigers would almost never go after a bear larger than 800 pounds. Basically, yes, a siberian will go after smaller bears, but two adult males against each other almost NEVER happens and is dangerous for the tiger. Grizzlies would DESTROY a tiger. Youtube vids don't prove shit.

@Pumpernickel006900 for the record, at parity, yes a tiger would win, but at average weights the bear is just too much for the tiger. BLACK bears are fucking pussies and have the mentality of an herbivore (i.e. zero aggression) and are MUCH smaller than brown bears. That's like saying because something can automatically kill a leopard it can kill a jaguar, it's just fucking stupid. Also, I highly doubt you've ever seen an adult Siberian killing an average sized adult male brown bear.

Tigers kills Bear cubs if they can get to them, and rarely female youngsters weighing less then 110 kg (largest ever documented was a 170 kg female youngster killed while hibernating) and most often in hibernation. They do not (!) take on an adult and normal sized Brown Bear at 200 kg. Thats suicide. Male Bears often follow Tigers and take their prey from them in spring. Tigers hate them for that.

@ludotokopele1 I have seen it. Read my last comment: female Brown Bears can weigh as little as 100 kg in inland Siberian (stats from Sikhote- Alin area). A 200 kg Tiger will be able to kill a small female like that in hibernation or by surprice attack.
But no Tiger will try attacking a fully grown Brown Bear male at 200 kg+. Not even while hibernating. There has never been documented any cases of grown male Brown Bears killed by Tigers. Not even one. But we have several cases of the opposite.

@ludotokopele1 The Kamtchatka Brown Bears are huge (as large as Kodiak), but they live on the coast. These one are inland Brown Bears and are small. Large males can weigh up to 360 kg but thats rare. Its not uncommon with females around 100 kg. Tiger do NOT prey on fully grown Brown Bears over 150- 160 kg. Check out the facts before you comment. Largest ever documented killed was a fat youngster female at 170 kg killed while hibernating.
