  • hahaha, the fact that so many on the right are defensive about this shows that I've struck a nerve. Interesting that you don't care about all of the way worse videos and things from your side.

    but not surprising.

  • @clammyc Generally, people who tell blatant lies are't well liked. Especially when they do so for the sole purpose of eliciting a reaction.

But I do have to say "Thank you" for making your side look more and more ridiculous.

  • Reported. Youtube isn't a place for grade school level slander.

  • Apparently gun control advocates have atrocious grammar and love slander.

"Scott Garret gave criminals a reason to be thankful this holiday season. Garrett voted to override NJ law and allow terrorists...and Pedophiles... and stalkers... and violent criminals. To carry conceal loaded weapons into NJ"

The bill doesn't allow any of these provisions. It just acknowledges the legitimacy of foreign state CCW permits. The vid is slander, ergo illegal and unprotected speech.

  • Can someone tell me which state allows for LEGAL carry for felons which is against the Gun Control Act of 1968 and Section 922(n) of the Brady Act. Further, why is this against states rights and "expanding government" when it states within the constitution to give "full faith and credit" to permits like this one? Wouldn't that mean the NFA, GCA, Brady Act, Assault Weapons Bans, etc are all against states rights as well? When can we expect our anti-gun brethren to attempt to repeal these laws?

  • HE VOTED TO TAZER 7 YEAR OLDS. SAVE THE CHILDREN OMG!!!!!!! ASSAULT CLIPS AND SHOULDER THINGS THAT GO UP!!!! GOVERNMENT PROTECT ME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Right, because only terrorists, criminals, pedophiles, and stalkers have concealed carry permits. Jesus Christ, the anti's are getting dumber and dumber by the day

  • I'm sorry, convicted felons are prohibited from owning firearms period. How can u legally carry a firearm, when u cant legally own one?

  • @IJackDaWackI I'm sorry but how many stalkers, pedophiles and people who commit domestic violence against their girlfriends/wives (or boyfriends/husbands) are never reported, charged or convicted?

Convicted felons aren't the issue here.

  • @clammyc Everyone in this country is granted the right to due process, if you don't agree with that, then go live somewhere else.

  • @IJackDaWackI it isn't about due process, it is about reasonable protections against people who have restraining orders or are at risk of being further harmed. If you want to protect pedophiles, stalkers and those who commit domestic violence in order to let them carry concealed loaded weapons into a state that doesn't allow it's own residents to do the same, then I think we are done with this discussion.

  • @clammyc You were just talking about denying the rights of people who have never been charged with anything, but claim they are horrible people who rape children are predators that stalk people and beat their families. How about letting the good guys carry so they can protect themselves from these people who you claim are already in our state. convicted Pedophiles are felons, Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban, and stalking can be escalated to a felony in almost every state.

  • @IJackDaWackI how many people file complaints with the police but nothing can be done because there is no "smoking gun". How many orders of protection are ignored and girlfriends beaten or killed, even though complaints were filed? I'll say it a 3rd time - this isn't about convicted felons or convicted anything. This is common sense. Do you care as much about all of the other Amendments that are being taken away and trampled as the ultimate right to carry as many concealed weapons wherever?

  • @clammyc The 2a is a right of the people in the U.S. granted in the bill of rights. You cannot say the states have the 10th amendment which says they can pretend the 2a doesn't exist. now if you said obama's mandatory med insurance is a direct violation of the 10th amendment, then i would say your right. And again, everyone has the right to due process, and a fair trial before being convicted and stripped of there rights, plain and simple.

  • @IJackDaWackI What about the OWS peaceful protesters denied their 1st amend rights and beaten or pepper sprayed, or the PATRIOT Act denying 4th Amendment rights or locking up countless innocent non protesters in NYC during the 04 RNC with no due process for 48 hours and no charges? Or "free speech zones"? Do you defend them like the 2nd Amend? Consistency, ya know (ps, I don't like the health care bill, but not bc of the 10th amend).

  • @clammyc I'm not arguing those points, because that is not the statement of this video. If you wanted to compile a list of the rights that are constantly infringed upon, then please do so. And i'm sure you would get every pro-2a person agreeing with you. We are big on all rights, not just the 2a. The right to protect ones self is a great right that has be forgotten in many parts of this country, it carries the same equality of every other right granted to those in the U.S.

  • Crimes involving guns are no different than ones involving baseball bats, knives, pots & pans, fists, etc. Yet none of those items are heavily restricted, are they? Furthermore, does having the gun make the criminal? Or does the criminal just use the gun to carry out the act? This distinction is ultimately the reason why all gun laws are simply pointless.

  • Selling out to the gun lobby might pay better in campaign cash than voting for the safety of his constituents. We'll have to inform his voters what he has been up to. He also has yet to co-sponsor HR308 that would put a stop to highly dangerous shootings with assault clips.

  • @BradyCampaign WTF is an assault clip? oh right, something u just made up.

  • @BradyCampaign Liberal university student from the UK here.

Your lobby is about the most dishonest, disgusting, underhanded, ruthless, and above all insulting pressure group I've ever encountered. You work from the premise that people aren't responsible and you only get worse from there.

The right to life is important above all else, stripping people of the means to defend themselves is sick, I'm glad to call you my enemies.

  • This is a crazy video!!! No facts just scare tactics. How about they answer the true question... Are conceal carry holders more likely or less likely to commit a crime than the rest of the population..... I know the answer but why would they give you facts when they show you this worthless garbage.

  • you know clammy, you obviously don't have any idea what gun laws we have now...to get a handgun in nj is a 30-90 minimum proposition. Second, you have to pass a nics check (so much for terrorists and violent criminals).

a nics check to LEGALLY buy a gun (and that excludes handguns because you cannot buy a handgun out of state) and that purchase has to go thru a dealer,. Example, you cannot go to your buddy in ny and buy his gun from him, unless he has a FFL dealer do the transfer.

  • @nickg0411 it isn't about NJ's gun laws. The bill would override NJ's laws with a Federal overreach (isn't states rights important always, not just when convenient?)

This would allow someone from another state with more lax rules to bring concealed loaded weapons into NJ. Someone whose girlfriend maybe moved here from another state because she was being stalked for example.....

That's the issue, not NJ's laws (or for the other comments here, the crime rate in Camden, Newark, etc.)

  • @clammyc "(isn't states rights important always, not just when convenient?)" arent the people's rights important always, not just when convenient? Also, do you honestly think a criminal cares about laws? If they want to carry, they will. If they want to buy a gun, they will. And terrorists??? that one just amazes me. Glad to see the media has scared you so much to think that this bill if passed would open doors to terrorists. like it so obviously did in the past(9/11 and WTC bombing of the 90's)

  • @melchiah389 no, the media hasn't scared me at all about terrorists - I was working in NYC on 9/11 and find the whole scare tactics insulting, actually (not to mention the sinkhole that is DHS) Fact is, people's rights are important and ironically, you aren't defending them. As I saidupthread, this would allow someone from another state with more lax rules to bring concealed loaded weapons into NJ. Someone whose girlfriend maybe moved here from another state because she was being stalked.

  • And the Federal health care plan imposed on the nation isn't hypocrisy?

  • @parkerxxxxxx I agree and don't like the plan one bit - at least the mandate (not to mention a few other things). But this isn't about the federal health care plan.

  • yeah, I'd call someone who protects pedophiles, stalkers, terrorists and those who commit domestic violence a hero. How many of them don't have a criminal background since there was "nothing proven" yet? Way to protect people.

great logic and strawman arguments by comparing to Camden and Newark.

  • This is truly pathetic. Politicians like Rep Garrett are heros for standing up to the the NJ nanny state. I suppose the poster of this nonsense never travels to Vermont, Pennsylvania, Florida, Delaware or any of the other 41 states that allow law abiding citizens to carry a concealed firearn if they so choose. No, much safer here in NJ with its "strong" gun laws. Winter vacation in Camden anyone?

  • Anyone with a criminal background cannot legally own or carry a firearm. Period, end of story.

  • so you are defending the federal overreach and hypocrisy by Garrett as well as the vote against excluding this federal overreach to stalkers, those who commit domestic violence, terrorists and rapists?

How about answering the real question instead of creating a strawman about Paterson, Passaic, Camden and Newark?

  • so criminals are now legally able to own and carry firearms? You know, you're right, it's NJ strict gun laws that keep "Paterson, Passaic, Camden and Newark" safe.

  • All of this would be true, if it were legal for those convicted of a felony that they could be allowed to purchase and own firearms. Criminals get their firearms the old fashioned way and carry them like those here in New Jersey carry them concealed. The street crime and daily shootings in Paterson, Passaic, Camden and Newark by these criminals solidifies this statement. BTW - Jerrry Sandusky is a pedophile, and he didn't need a concealed gun to enjoy his NAMBLA games in the Penn State showers!
