The son of the sheriff should have shot Bat Masterson for making such a stupid speech.

It was definitely the bullets that killed him ( the sheriff ).

The bad guys certainly didn't throw knives at the sheriff.

And it wasn't as if the sheriff didn't have any reason to hate the guys sitting at the table..

The sheriff opened fire on the guys who KILLED his kids.

The worst that Bat Masterson got in this story was a bump in the head.
