  • did anyone else cringe when he was using the saw?

  • looks so easy!!!

  • 3 people broke their ships.

  • I always wondered, why not heat the neck, expand it, let it cool down, place the ship in then re-heat and shrink it back. Probably very risky as you might just burn everything (but possible to avoid that altogether with some simple chemical tricks)

Still, you will be able to fit a ship in a bottle that has a neck too small for its body to squeeze in.

Just a thought, thanks for the video.

  • I recently had a failure because I made my epoxy "ocean" too thick. When I popped the masts, I was lacking about an eighth of an inch. Moving on :) thanks for this video!!! Gonna start a new one tomorrow.

  • @pinealrapture it takes time! Good luck man!

  • Nice hair aaron carter

  • I have that same exact Hurley shirt lol

  • That is so fantastic! Ive always wanted to know how to do this. haha

  • bastard

  • nice idf jacket

  • how do you think I got the ship so small? getting it in the bottle has nothing to do with shrinking it...

  • I would just use a shrink ray. LOL

  • @mp4podcastDOTcom

You'd need a Giantic Ray too to make it bigger, TO EXPENSIVE!

  • trrrriiiiiiiipppppppppyyyyyyyy

  • I had no idea this is how they did it :) Cool vid.

  • prime finger cut!!! at 1:37

  • איפה אתה אפילו?!

  • איזה קטע שיש לגייז הזה חולצה של צה"ל.

    LOL

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    קולולולולולולולול

    צהלולים.

  • some people actually build the ships while it's inside the bottle, making the ships alot bigger and wider than the opening hole of the bottle.

  • Great video, and a good example of an impossible bottle! Take a look at:

    impossiblebottle.co.uk

This guy has some beautiful bottles for sale, including sealed decks and padlocks!

  • With a razor blade attached to a piece of a coat hanger or dowel, that's how. Great video I happen to make ships in bottles too!

  • @hgrogers85 Or heat up the end of one of your wires so it burns the string. If you use fishing line it would probably work even better.

  • Try to build the halo pillar of autmn. It would look kool

  • That's pretty clever. I will try one on my own. After some more research.

  • For Thor's sake stop putting tiny ships in giant bottles.. I wanna know how to make a normal one!!!!

  • Hmm, I always thought it was some kind of voodoo magic trick taught to the most secretive people of the world. Thanks soooo much for posting 5*s!

  • I built star trek ship ships in bottles . The hardest part is the saucer section.

  • @ferret7463 I've been thinking about building a Starship-In-A-Bottle. What did you do to make the saucer sections work out?

  • Hey, but how do you cut the threads off then? Lol great vid though. That man seems so nice and expert... I wish I knew someone like that to teach me how to build one of these. Very cool!

  • @robynbirde you could use a small knife or a surgical tool.

  • 1:52 omg i have same shirt.

  • How'd you get that Grand Pa in the bottle in that last frame? That's what I want to know.

  • @PaulzYou I believe that one was made in many parts, over 50, I just happened to read an article on it. Built by Phil Mattson. I make ships in bottles as well but don't know if I really have the patience to attempt one of those!

  • So the questions remain, how do you cut the threads off?

  • @jamescgale LOL. The video is "how to put a ship in a bottle " and not "how to get rid of the threads."

  • cool

  • nerd

  • LAPIDUS!

  • great vid. really intresting. thanx 4 posting.

  • he looks like the boy from the pacifier

  • i dindt know how they made... nice

  • But how do you put the sails on? :P I know its probably easier than getting the ship in the bottle but meh...

  • The best and most realistic way is to sow them onto the mast or rigging

  • nice hair and thats difficult

  • Very cool

  • that was neat, but you really must use a glove when engaging that saw. watching you cut that small piece of wood freaked me out :)

  • yea me 2 heheheheheeheeeheheehee

  • look at that freak above me

  • honestly, great video! but oh.. how i wish i could make a ship like a ship..

  • ships in bottles!!!!

  • What's the biggest ship ever to be put in a bottle?

  • Whoa! Did you really design that yourself? Wow.. you're talented.

  • One of life's little mysteries solved. Now, can you put an egg in one? I might give this a try if I have the patience to do it. (one day).
