@zodden01 true enough. it's a god damn crime that this game is so often over looked. i really believe it's time for someone step up and continue to the greatness of this game. it was too ahead of its time and maybe too ambitious as well, but the world needs another rpg like this.

I think that if a sequel was made to this game then Ming-Xiao should return no matter what ending you chose. Unlike the other characters that die in the game there is a way that Ming-Xiao could be brought back
My perfect ending would have been to rule the city by Ming-Xiao's side forever
The genre wouldn't really allow much in the way of a Kindred ruling a city alongside the venomous Kuei-jin. As it stands the soul-suckers (as opposed to the Cainite/Kindred blood-suckers) are every bit as powerful as their occidental cousins (or moreso.)
And to note. For you Nos and Snakes who believe you are the only ones watching in the darkness or hiding in plain sight. Remember there are those of us who need not be present to see what you have done.
It I think they should at least bring her back if a sequel is ever made, or at least have something put into canon to say that she is still alive. I mean, I really love Ming-Xiao and I think its a shame that you have to kill her in so many of the endings.
Incidentally I am actually working on a fan fiction in which Ming-Xiao does return and gets her revenge. I also gave her some past background, to flesh her character out a bit.

In the other, Ming Xiao sinks the protagonist, the sarcophagus and the bomb--undetonated--to the bottom of the ocean.

Finishing the game was bittersweet to say the least. It's definitely a solid title, and as far as RPGs go it's probably one of my favorites. It's just a shame that we won't see a third edition to the series.
@zerglingseb That might not be so. CCP and White Wolf have been working on a MMORPG set in the World of Darkness. Nothing titled yet, but imagine what it could be like. I think trying to get a good balance of gameplay will be the hardest part. thne figure out the number of NPCs you need to equal the number of Kine that will support a population of Kindred. Must have mulitple cities to play in.
@BEERxxPiRATE As good as Lacuna Coil are, they could be from ANTARCTICA for all I care (though actually, I think a band from Antarctica would have the potential to be pretty awesome...). ;-)
@Chemwarfared There's an unoffical patch that fixes up a large number of elements that Troika was forced to leave out in order to get the game to market. I'd love to see the WOD done as a MMORPG. Now that, I'd be totally addicted to. The music alone just sucks you in and really sets the tone for the game.

@NorthForkFisherman How far are you into the game? I did notice that the Tremere get their chantry haven much later than most of the Clans get their Skyline apartment. The comforting news is, the Nosferatu get their sewer haven latest of all. But considering that the Nosferatu and Tremere homes each come with their own little magic trinket, I guess it justifies the wait.
@BloodyBay Been thru a couple of times, playing as Malk, Ventrue, and Tremere. Think I might be missing steps with either the plague quests or the gargoyle. I'll keep poking around.

My favourite song in this game... If it weren't for all the bugs, this would be absolutely perfect game, unsurpassed for others. It still is, at some points, but not like it would be... Shame, but for me it's classic, it has more deep atmosphere, plot and characters than for ex. new Fallout and most of other new RPG's!
Did you know that the actress who speaks for VV also were in Dead Space: Downfall anime as main heroine, and as Moly in Punisher: the game? She has one sexy voice...
@Andriej69 It quit possibly is one of the best RPG experiences to date. I'm of course ignoring combat weaknesses and instability issues. Like you said, the sheer depth and memorability of characters, the captivating atmospheric details, and, hell I could go on. I love me some Baldur's Gate I & II, but I'd have to give it to VtM-Bloodlines.
I replay it almost twice a year (same with aforementioned Baldur's Gate with at least a once a year play)
Well, the Masquerade series has ended, of course (this game depicting some of the events leading to the Final Nights). We'd end up getting a Requiem-era game, which I find to be of poorer standards when compared to Masquerade (at the very least, for any Requiem fans, for PC gaming).
I also loved the first two Fallouts (never played 3, poor computer). I would even love another Masquerade game (still using the Source engine, but an updated one) in this same style, just set elsewhere.
I agree. Requiem does infact, suck. Well in my own opinion. For there to be a new game it would have to be source just like you said. Of course I'd like it to end RIGHT at the TOJ. And I mean it. Of course the different endings to that (tabletop) would have to come from the players actions in game.
You could be sired by Caine, but that would unlikely be the case since he vowed not to sire anymore. Maybe a thin blood. I don't know, but make it Masquerade not Requiem.
Lacking room to type, here's the ending bit of what I was going to say.
The Masquerade tabletop chronicle I played most recently was set after the events of Bloodlines, but in Las Vegas. Our Storyteller went with the thought of the PC going the individual route, and leaving LA, possibly heading to Las Vegas. Our ST eventually moved away and I took over as a first timer, and it was a lot of fun because I lived in Vegas for several months at the time.

If it crashes after you kill that teleporting hunter, then you can find out how to fix it in any site about Bloodlines. I had this problem, if that's the case.
I'd have to go with my old stand-by Tribe, the Bone Gnawers. My first Werewolf character was a Bone Gnawer Philodox. She was basically a street urchin in New Orleans, she helped run the local homeless shelter (having worked her way up from being one of the "regulars" living there), she made her own nunchaku out of a bicycle chain and two lead pipes, and she used to annoy the hell out of a local Get of Fenris goof. And she protected bums and beat up vampires. Good fun, those Bone Gnawers. :-)
A groups of guys i know at my university from games developement are working on a overhaul mod for this game to add another huge amount of content due to complete developer abandonment.
Lots of new quests and voice acting from drama graduates and new locations etc.

He probably refers to the couple of places in the game that are annoyingly hard, even if you know what to do. The part with the werewolf for example, was infernally hard - and that was actually a bit that killed my gaming joy for a while, but, like a champion, I tried it sometime later and with a gash of luck, bested that section.
It was by luck that I found out how to kill the werewolf. I ran a bit too close to the power station and found the power switch...and my velociraptor-like learning capability just took over from there. >:-)
they are all stored on the CD of the game. I may have the german version but I think there's no difference aside from the language^^
I found all the songs and other sounds in the following way: open the folder "Setup"->"Vampire"->"Sound" and then you can listen to all the songs/backgroung music and even to what the characters say^^

This credit scrolls is awesome. I prefer it with the towering inferno in the background but this one is great nonetheless.
Excellent game and one of all time favourites if not favourite. It's just a shame that it wasn't fully completed.

The guy who voiced the gargoyle in Bloodlines also voiced Swiftrunner in Dragon Age: Origins. The voice is identical in every aspect.

My favourite song in this game... If it weren't for all the bugs, this would be absolutely perfect game, unsurpassed for others. It still is, at some points, but not like it would be... Shame, but for me it's classic, it has more deep atmosphere, plot and characters than for ex. new Fallout and most of other new RPG's!
Did you know that the actress who speaks for VV also were in Dead Space: Downfall anime as main heroine, and as Moly in Punisher: the game? She has one sexy voice...

@Andriej69 It quit possibly is one of the best RPG experiences to date. I'm of course ignoring combat weaknesses and instability issues. Like you said, the sheer depth and memorability of characters, the captivating atmospheric details, and, hell I could go on. I love me some Baldur's Gate I & II, but I'd have to give it to VtM-Bloodlines.
I replay it almost twice a year (same with aforementioned Baldur's Gate with at least a once a year play)

I hope some good team(Mass effect maybe?) will make another Vampire: the Masquerade game!

Well, the Masquerade series has ended, of course (this game depicting some of the events leading to the Final Nights). We'd end up getting a Requiem-era game, which I find to be of poorer standards when compared to Masquerade (at the very least, for any Requiem fans, for PC gaming).
I also loved the first two Fallouts (never played 3, poor computer). I would even love another Masquerade game (still using the Source engine, but an updated one) in this same style, just set elsewhere.

I agree. Requiem does infact, suck. Well in my own opinion. For there to be a new game it would have to be source just like you said. Of course I'd like it to end RIGHT at the TOJ. And I mean it. Of course the different endings to that (tabletop) would have to come from the players actions in game.
You could be sired by Caine, but that would unlikely be the case since he vowed not to sire anymore. Maybe a thin blood. I don't know, but make it Masquerade not Requiem.

Lacking room to type, here's the ending bit of what I was going to say.
The Masquerade tabletop chronicle I played most recently was set after the events of Bloodlines, but in Las Vegas. Our Storyteller went with the thought of the PC going the individual route, and leaving LA, possibly heading to Las Vegas. Our ST eventually moved away and I took over as a first timer, and it was a lot of fun because I lived in Vegas for several months at the time.
Seeing it in PC game form would be amazing.

I regret ending this game because now I kinda know about everything already. Although I haven't played with Nosferatu and Malkavian (actually only Gangrel) I feel that way because I feel like playing as Gangrel again! It's simply awesome.

If it crashes after you kill that teleporting hunter, then you can find out how to fix it in any site about Bloodlines. I had this problem, if that's the case.

I'd have to go with my old stand-by Tribe, the Bone Gnawers. My first Werewolf character was a Bone Gnawer Philodox. She was basically a street urchin in New Orleans, she helped run the local homeless shelter (having worked her way up from being one of the "regulars" living there), she made her own nunchaku out of a bicycle chain and two lead pipes, and she used to annoy the hell out of a local Get of Fenris goof. And she protected bums and beat up vampires. Good fun, those Bone Gnawers. :-)

A groups of guys i know at my university from games developement are working on a overhaul mod for this game to add another huge amount of content due to complete developer abandonment.
Lots of new quests and voice acting from drama graduates and new locations etc.

I ran through the first time as a Ventrue (and I cheated so I could get a quick layout of the game, and understanding of game play)

He probably refers to the couple of places in the game that are annoyingly hard, even if you know what to do. The part with the werewolf for example, was infernally hard - and that was actually a bit that killed my gaming joy for a while, but, like a champion, I tried it sometime later and with a gash of luck, bested that section.

It was by luck that I found out how to kill the werewolf. I ran a bit too close to the power station and found the power switch...and my velociraptor-like learning capability just took over from there. >:-)

they are all stored on the CD of the game. I may have the german version but I think there's no difference aside from the language^^
I found all the songs and other sounds in the following way: open the folder "Setup"->"Vampire"->"Sound" and then you can listen to all the songs/backgroung music and even to what the characters say^^
