This is a stunning piece of film. It's very hard to gaze into a camera for even a few minutes without feeling self conscious and losing focus. Her gaze is so direct and fearless, yet she is so feminine and soft. Although her face stays in the same position, emotions pass over it and her eyes are so expressive. Amazing.

Even today, 45 years later, men and women are fascinated, transfixed, hypnotized by her. It's not only her stunning beauty, it's her charm, her personality. She was, for good or ill, totally unique. She lived her very short life at supersonic speed.

The scar between her eyes is very noticeable in some pictures. It must have been really nasty to the naked eye. Milk-white skin and too much mascara made the scar less noticeable.

I think it was only noticeable because she defined it with eyeliner. In photos where she has no makeup on it's just a small dent.
