  • how can i fix it step by step cause its my first time

  • how do i fix hardware problems

  • @myusuf70 Hardware problems are easy ti fix. If the computer shows no life it is usually the power supply. Only 4 screws hold it in place. If the computer shows life but you have a dark screen it is usually the video card. Only one screw holds it in place. These are the top two hardware problems.

  • what do i do when i turn my emachine and all it does is the light blinks and nothing shows on the desktop the desktopis all black

  • @myusuf70 Likely a hardware problem...could be bad power supply, video card, or motherboard.

  • Thank u..

  • Completely useful, thanks !

  • Excellent Review

  • thank you so much , it is very helpful

  • thank you so much! this is helping me with my classes.

  • bits and bytes!

  • I have the A+ Book at home....it shows how to take apart a laptop...just remove 4 screws from the bottom....LOL I wish it were that easy. Tearing down a laptop is a lot of work. I don't know who writes these courses.

I wish they would teach more practical stuff...things that you will do working in a repair shop everyday. I'm no expert here but worked for many years in a shop where we fixed all kinds of electronic stuff.

  • Thanks a lot for all this , you are great human being doing this for free , you are awesome , thank you

  • HEY BUDDY THX NOW I CAN OPEN MY PC SHOP BECSE OF U

  • my school offers this class...

  • Hi,

Is this series of videos for the 2009 version of the A+ certification?

  • u lost me around the binary decimal conversion

  • @antigay7

If you're converting from binary to decimal, you're always using one formula i.e. 2^n (2 to the power of n) , n being 0,1,2,3,4,... etc.

    You have to see it as following : 10101010 = 2^7 + 0^6 + 2^5 +0^4 +2^3+0^2+2^1+0^0 = 128 + 0 + 32 + 0 + 8 + 0 +2 = 170

If you read the decimal code from right to left, the exponents should increase and the base should be either 2 or 0.

  • loved this video....learned too much from it..

  • can you give me the link to download those pages?

  • Thanks for all your videos, it has inspired me to study pc repair. Could you please explain to me what is Comp TIA A+ versus PC repair courses.

  • A+ cert will get you a job.

  • @frenchge is programming with c++ good money???

  • @frenchge I got lost at the end

  • Also check \\lcddata.webs.com

  • I studied Information technology in College, after watching this video, i regret paying almost 20k for school.

  • Question were did you get ur book and how anc i find then please need help & if u can give me the title of the books ect......

  • There are many computer repair books and all cover the same material. The best and the one used by most schools is Jean Andrews text A+ Guide to Managing & Maintaining Your PC.

  • @frenchge yeah man i just bought that book very helpful and heavy.

  • @frenchge because i work at h.p and they need A+ to work on repair station.

  • @03002354298 what do they pay per hour as a tech at Hp? i always wanted to know

  • @antigay7 yeah they need test Technion for the ML/DL servers for that u need to know linux and A+. the pay is like $13 an hour 40 hours a week and overtime.

  • ow what a great demo thank you very much I am from Philippines and I am start learning how to repair the computer for my future profession...this will help me alot .

  • : O credit...

  • Your Great Than You God Bless you!

  • Thanks for your kind words...

  • Great course, thanks very much for these excellent tutorials, all the best, from Mike.

  • Converting between Decimal and Binary seems to be one thing i haven't fully figured out I never thought to look at the 8 position as 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and 1 not i need to burn that into my brain Great Tutorial I am about to take A+ Cert classes and these video tutorials will help me allot.

Most of this stuff I already know I just Need a dang Certification just to get a job. I've been studying Computers since childhood even learned C++, and built a few PCs.

  • Certs do help make the difference with employers.

  • What would i need to know to become a CEH?

  • You should have several years of senior network maintenance experience and be at a network analysts level to understand all that is required. Cisco certs CCNA and CCNP would help. Certification is achieved by taking the C|EH test after completing either training at an ATC (Accredited Training Center) or self-study.

  • would i need to know all this to get a job at geek squad? and what else would i have to learn c++? someone reply please

  • The CompTIA A+ certification is now required by most employers for entry level positions. Employers also have additional job training that they will provide for new employees..

  • @frenchge all thats easy will knowing c++ net+ and coding just about anything help me move up higher up in the rank? iv personally been to geek squad years ago and now that i remember they have no idea what there talking about they always mess things up tell you 1 thing 1day and say oh we figured out it was this the next day.

  • Computer and network maintenance require CompTIA A+ and Network+ training and certification for good entry employment opportunities servicing computers and networks. Cisco and Microsoft certifications could help you advance further. C++ and other programing languages are not necessary for servicing computers but would help if you are looking for a software creation job opportunity.

  • very good !

  • 4:43 barking

  • This videos are great but the site is poorly organized, but I've spent hours trying to fathom out:

    - which video starts and ends the series

    - Are these videos expected to cover the material necessary for both the essentials and IT levels?

    - I really miss some list of the videos, a Table of Contents, something!

    Thanks.

  • this has nothing to do with computer repair...if you are going to make these videos, then actually show us how you solve some problems.

  • The videos are part of a training program that I teach to help prepare students to take the ComTIA A+ certification for employment. There are also some videos that have troubleshooting tips and some that teach imaging for restoring the operating system. Over 90% of the problems are software related.

  • I heard a doggy in the background.

  • Hi, is this relevant to the 2009 A+ exam?

  • Hello, Yes, the basic technology has changed very little over the years. However, we do see improvements added and older operating systems like DOS & Windows 98 removed.

  • Is all of this still relevenet?

  • Most of the basic computer and network technology hasn't changed. However, we do get regular improvements in operating systems, CPU, memory, and motherboards.

  • Thanks for helping out!

I'm a 45 year old husband and father of two. Who left the computer tech field some 20 years ago and went into construction. As we all know the construction field isn't as lucrative as it was. So because of my aging body and sluggish economy , I've decided to go back into the Tech Field. I'm taking A+ Essentials online course, and I must say your Videos are a great help in wrapping an old mind around new technology ! thanks-wish I could be your student

    Scotty-
