I had one on my layout, connected to DC and it was faster than this. There are stops built in to stop in at the track openings. If your track is on roadbed it will line up with the turntable better. I have 2 Northerns and they are too large for this, so they go on a straight thru track into a wye to turn. The main concern was that the small rubber band would slip or break. The motor control was worth the 20.00. I had 12 stall roundhouse on mine, but you can only use Atlas.
I have one. It works a lot faster when it is hooked up to DC. you need the controller switch that is reccomended on the turntable packaging. The switch stops power to the track and uses it to turn the turntable. also there is another switch on the controller to change the tables direction. My turntable is much faster than this one.
I have one I need to wire in. Which output terminals does it connect to on the transformer? Mine has DC Variable (which runs the train engines), AC Accessories and DC (16 volts I think)? How do you change the direction of rotation?
theirs little spots enough for a bit of track just enough for it to stay in. (or do you mean on the turntable its self?) if so their already in the turntable
