  • sounds pretty sweet whatever it is

  • bro will these 1uz's run using the factory ecu with out the factory key mate just been told ill have to get a link or some thing chur

  • it is a 1uz-fe from the 98 gs400, it is different from the sc400 ,and LS400,

    it has 300 hp

  • how did you get it to run without the MAF sensor hooked up?

  • Dumb shits. I'm sure the guy knows exactly what motor he's put in that car, and you do not.

  • This is a 2uz-fe, i have one and that is what it looks and sounds like, and they didnt come with that intake manifold by the way, and yes 1uzfe's come with vvti and so do 2uzfe's, yet a 3uz does not. This is a 2uzfe non vvti.

  • @PinelochTundra its a 1uz dumb dumb

  • @scottb55 haha keyboard warriors thinking they know what theyre talking about.

  • who gives a fuck its still a v8

  • that sounds great !!!

  • dude nice swap!!! how much did you get the engine and harness for??? because where i live, pre 97 1UZ's cost about 500 but wat about the vvti engine???

  • wouldnt that be a 2uzfe, 4.7 litre v8? I thought the 1uzfe had a different intake manifold.

  • @Motorfordtoyota na its a 1uz the older 1uz's have the different intake

  • @scottb55 Oh, ok, cause where I live, the 1uz was only lexus, so it had a different intake. SO I recognized that as the 2uzfe, cause thats what it over here, atleast with that intake!

  • You appear to have no idea about these motors.. Clearly that is NOT a 1uz. For starets 1uz dont have VVTI, this motor does... But the only other thing i can say is, get rid of the factory exhaust headers, they are so restrictive its not funny! Love toyota.lexus V8s, they are the best!!

  • @brind0g maaaate you appear to be a internet expert on stuff in fact you no fuck all

  • @brind0g

Dude!! they came out in the 98' -00' LS400, SC400 toyota celsior and crowns. I think you need to do some research. I have one of these engines myself its clearly a 1UZ-fe vvti....unless toyota miss wrote it on the firewall tag and the engine cowl!!

  • @brind0g actually they do have 1UZ motors with VVTI.

though i do agree it does not appear to be a 1UZ. the VVTI was brought out in 1997 and i agree they are a work of art. regardless of those facts, scott impressive engine transplant, sounds wicked mate!

  • @brind0g you are the biggest idiot on the net. at least get your facts straight before insulting people on things you know nothing about! wikipedia 1UZ-FE moron, in 1997 Toyota introduced VVTi to the 1UZ-FE

  • @brind0g you have no idea brind0g, it is 1uz vvti what a clown you are.

  • @brind0g hey shit for brains, in 97 and up the 1UZFE got VVTI and an up in compretion to make 290hp. look it up on wiki

  • @brind0g my 98 sc400 has a 1uz-fe vvti....

  • @brind0g hahahaha douche......

  • @brind0g The newer 1UZ has VVT-i.

  • Does the gearbox handle it just as good as original motor or does it pop out of gear sometimes?

  • less lag lol do people think its turbo. Natrually aspirated cars dont have lag . had my 3UZ hilux on the road for 5 years. video title says its a 1UZ clearly its a 3UZ. Dude asking about gearbox Toyota R154 is a good fit dont waste your time with the w series supra celica box or the g series box from the hilux range. 3UZ has to much torque & will rip teeth off the input shaft & 5th gear, mine did lol got a ute like this for sale check out auction#301833889 on Trade Me New Zealand

  • its good that lexus and toyota are very compatible than you can do some cool shit :)

  • with the air filter it would sound better and have less lag so it gets even better than wats on the video :)

  • hi im planning to do the same to my toyota ute i wana use the manual gbox outa the ute what kinda adaptors will i need to do all this to my ute?????

  • holy shit, it looks a lot bigger than Chevy 5.7L V8

  • Sounds very good for the V8.

what exhaust are you running? sounds much cleaner than most V8's honestly.

what year Lexus did you pull the V8 from?

  • @dubvipers would sound better with air filter on and have less lag

  • wow nice where did you get that motor?? and what model hilux is that??

i have a 2001 hilux with the 2.4L tdi in it will this v8 fit?? :P

    5stars!!

  • it came out of a wrecked lexus

yes it will be tight but will fit

  • cool a lexus v8 in a hilux

  • look tidy scotty
