  • wow, nice one. i'm gonna present this for our physics project. thanks for this. thumbs up! :)

  • Nice!

  • very nice idea..keep it up..awsome

  • This is great! It works and is amazing. To put it together right, be sure to view the video demonstration of turning the magnets so that all three in the front attract each other and the 3 in the back repel. The other tip is to place the pencil's front magnet about 1/8 inch to the rear of the two front magnets that are attached to the base.

  • fantastic and in creadable

  • its not frictionless, that is impossible, there is fristion between the pencil and the plate at the front.

    just saying :)

  • @Bptips And air friction. Stop being a smartass, you're still in middle school?

  • @dcyli if you took the maybe 15 seconds to look at my channel you would have seen am from the uk were we don't have a middle school. but I believe if I was in US I would be in the last year of high school.

and tbh I felt this really did need to be correct'd as you have shown your self by naming another resistance or friction.

  • Dude you're like an Indian MacGyver lol.

  • Where do you get those magnets from though?

  • esta exelente!

  • Does this pencil levitate, spin and write all that the same time? If so then you got yourself an order!

  • Very cool! I'll have to try making one for my office desk!

  • @kei1010101010 hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • complimenti molto ben fatto

  • I can't get it to work

  • Fantastic! I've seen similar toys sold but this is a fantastic method to make your own.

  • nice thats pretty cool!

  • trolls they're everywhere... :l

  • Cool video, however your eBay ad states these as strong magnets..... I guess strong is a relative term? These magnets are extremely weak as far as magnets go. My refrigerator magnets are stronger!

  • Excellent ! Well done on a modest budget.

  • the magnetic field created by each magnet is rubing aginst each other so there is friction

  • do the magnets on the base hav to hav holes

  • its not frictionless. eventually i will stop, even if it was in a vacume. and over hundreds of years, the magnets would ware out and it would stop spinning/levitating.

  • @levicall it is allso have the friction of the coin

  • @levicall nit pic

  • @Batina041 whats that supposed to mean

  • @levicall Thats not due to friction though. If this was in a perfect vacuum, the only friction would be the pencil tip on the coin.

  • @levicall thanks! douche...

  • realy easy to make... nice!

  • Thats not complete levitation because the pencil touches the coin, but its really cool. I'm trying to make complete levitation using the NeoCube :D

  • where do i get ring manets???

  • The front 2 magnets must repel from the front magnet in the pencil. Same with the magnets at the back! The back 2 magnets must repel from the magnet in the pencil. (back)

  • Hello Sir! I have already started collecting magnets but they are of different sizes. I even got two of them broken accidentally. Your demonstration is really good. Almost anyone interested will be able to make that easily. I think it should possible to give the levitation a bit more height....thank you.

  • good job man nice

  • i like creativity

  • I know this works, but I do not seem to get the hang of it. I have tried this about 20 times, and I know I must be doing something wrong. Do you have any suggestions. I really would like to make this work. thank you.

  • @1930charles: a couple of tips. Be sure to note in the video that the front or forward magnets are turned so that all three attract each other. Similarly be sure all three rear magnets are turned so that they repel each other. the other important thing to do is place the front pencil magnet about 1/8 inch to the rear of the front magnets on the base.

  • wow pretty cool

  • Keep it up! you can make MagLev helocopter blades

  • Very nice good work
