Could I melt a couple of pieces of glass tubing together at ends to make it longer?

@IsmokeTouch Yeah, all you need to do is soften both ends with the torch, then stick them together and soften that more under the torch so it comes out even. you can also seal the ends of the tube by pushing the ends down with pliers after heating
