The NDAA states that a suspected terrorist (not an accusation to be taken lightly) would be put of military trial as compared to a civil trial where the jury would be completely biased. It's actually more fair for the suspected terrorists considering the evidence brought up against them would be concrete and not based on the bias of the jury. I can see where here say is confusing a lot of Americans, but the law is not a bad thing. Everybody is freaking out like it the patriot act part 2.

Terrorist can easily just mean political enemy. Dan Brown himself could be perceived as such, as is described by that law. Is he not stirring up "terror" of the government? Is he not making people angry? Spreading "lies", and "propaganda"?

@Thebombjizz actually it's worse. McCarthyism was used to tarnish people's reputations. This is a law stating that anyone who 'seems like a terrorist' may be arrested and jailed immediately. What's just as scary is how the gov't might lable 'terrorists'; does this mean that having a 2 week supply of food in a house for emergencies is a crime? Does 'terrorist' define someone who sets off a certain number of fireworks on July 4th? It doesn't help the USA at all, and the law is insane.

I think they should amend so that a civilian court (jury trial) can declare whether they are a terrorist or not. And if they do they get tried in military court, if not it stays in civilian court. Simple fix.
