  • ExtreamThrills: We can drive through 2 feet of snow and over glare ice in a snowstorm without flinching. We know how to shovel roofs and that a snow brush doesn't do shit when clearing 3 feet of snow off your car. We know what it's like for it to be so cold your car doesn't start. That's what we know. Sorry, we've never had to deal with a tornado.

Wishing all of you victims best of luck x

  • Its weird how something which looks like smoke is something so deadly...

  • @2CSparkie The smoke looking stuff is the debris cloud around the tornado. The actual twister is in the middle of that.

  • @BUILDINGWITHBULLION Yer, I do know about tornadoes... And its the debris which adds to the fact it is so deadly.

And american homes aren't built well enough to stand the debris coming through its walls - making things even worse.

  • I hope homer is ok.

  • @ed4409 Going just South

  • @neumei626 it came to boston :O!

  • Thats surprising. Never would of thought springfield would be hit. Just lucky Albany has been safe.

  • @NYfanatic22 Just lucky then that 4000 other surrounding towns around it like Albany are safe. I think I would change my stance to saying Springfield is "unlucky"

  • @neumei626 I was saying that Albany, NY is in the same general region as Springfield. I would hope nothing like this happens again.

  • i am in worecter now and its about to hit its actually i think in worecter really really close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  • I had the Wendell Tornado go through my front yard as I was heading outside in 2006. Love this shit!

  • This has to be the wussies tornado ever.

  • @xSc0rPi0nx Pretty big for a place that rarely gets them. Kinda like how we see an inch of snow that closes schools down south, we think it's nothing but to them it's a big deal because it rarely happens. Tornadoes in MA is rarer than snow in TX.

  • @TheHakunaPotato. Same experience I had. I went to stay up there for a while camping by myself, and all of sudden, WOW. It looked like another planet. It was so devastating.

  • actually the terrain determines how the cold and warm fronts move in, therefore making it possible for the tornado to form

  • @sissonkid79 No, terrain does not determine how "cold and warm fronts move in". Instead, your upper air winds (aka jet stream, upper air troughs, etc.) determine how and wear your fronts move. Once again, terrain has nothing to do with tornado's but rather the climate.

  • damn that is power

  • i hope and pray no1 was killed from this

  • In fact there was a tornado touched down in Wendell Mass about 6 or 7 years ago. Fortunately, it was mostly forest. Not a tree left standing for about a half mile, in a swath not too wide. Eery looking.

And in the mid nineties, Great Barrington took a big hit from a tornado. My son and I drove out and took pics. Today he said he remembers tombstones a mile away from the cemetery.

  • @lisesheehan I actually got to see the path of destruction a year or two after it went through Wendell. It cut through the state park - imagine driving through a forest only to open onto a clearly carved path of dead trees. Incredible.

  • Woo I saw this from state street about 300 feet away. It was actually really cool!

  • this video was just on the news! hahaah

  • Massachusetts does have the terrain to support a tornado. Wendell, MA 2006 an F2 traveled 12 miles tearing trees from the ground and snapping 2-3 foot wide trees in half. Take a ride thru the center, the damage is still visible. Looks like they were clearing a new road thru the forest.

  • HOLY SHIT I LIVE IN WORCESTER

  • woooooooooooooo the news is freaking out lolol

  • Comment removed

  • im fucking scared lol im in mass and the weather is crazy right now thunder hail all dat bullshit if i live in moving to texas

  • @ispeakthetruthalways Dont worry, it was crazy in Granby too. I had a lightning bolt hit my backyard. But alas no Tornado, thank god!

  • @celtics3456789

it finally calmed down thank god but i feel bad 4 people in springfield :/

  • @ispeakthetruthalways it was quick and over right away, but the people on memorial bridge had the scare of their life! LOL!! Did you see THAT video?? it came right down the CTR river, crossed the bridge, flipped a semi and then hit the city

  • Where was this filmed? I was at STCC and saw it.

  • That...doesn't really look like a tornado. Maybe something the the start of one, but there's no way it's going to pick up. This isn't Kansas, people. Massachusetts has a terrain that DOES NOT SUPPORT TORNADO MECHANISMS. Chill.

  • @samisblond

If you look online, right now, there are SEVERAL pictures of this tornado. Kindly shut your pie hole. You've got no idea what you're talking about.

  • @samisblond Terrain has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with tornados but rather atmospheric conditions. Get your facts straight.

  • @samisblond Look at the other videos posted of the actual tornado as well as the aftermath. Terrain is only one determinant in how tornadoes are formed. It has more to do with the proper weather conditions being present. Look at the other videos. Roofs are not ripped off of 4 storey brick buildings by severe thunderstorms or even a shear or microburst. There was definetely rotational wind present for this to happen.

  • shittttt

  • Ohhh shit haha

  • Be safe in MA year-to-date, tornadoes have killed more than 500 people. In general we've read tornadoes are up over 300% above average

  • Wow. My cousin's in Springfield, and I'm in Granby.

  • its heading east now... towards framingham... didnt think it could happen around here

  • It goes to show you no matter where you live, you cannot hide from a tornado.

  • Wow! That's incredible!

  • Wow.
