How do you get your bass to not like... rattle whenever you press down on the frets. I just got new strings today, and the gauge for the E string is 50. Should i adjust the truss rod, or saddle? Or should I have just gotten even thicker strings?

I've always wanted a 5 strings warwick but i'm so broke and i have a american standard fender p bass, so i saw this and said maybe he's using the 5 strings but missing the g

@archebeats The tuning for this on a four string should be (low-high) B-F#-B-E and I play it with normal .105 strings on a fender geddy lee replica jazz bass. It works OK, but in all honesty...i wish i could afford a warwick like what sloth is playing. Fenders aren't meant to be tuned down. In other words, that your setup will work but may not sound and feel as nice as a better bass.

I can play a good portion of L.D 50 but I've never gotten the sound quite right - granted a MAJOR part of that is the gear, still I'd like to get as close to that tone as possible using my Ibanez SR405. I'd have to hear you play, but if your on a normal pace try playing some Slipknot, it isnt too demanding.
