  • saw them when this came out, they rocked with the 3rd lp too.

  • Caravanserai..., Tommy, Abbey Road and the Dark side of the moon

are a real CONVERSATION with HIGHER INTELLIGENCE

  • This is a best and more mystical opus of Santana. I knew it while I was seeing alive Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin at London in 1975. Have envey, it deserves it.

I am 59 year-old young man, and them all together had something to do with my life.

Young people, take care of your good liders.

    Bless for you.

  • I've always liked this song. There's something very sensuous about it. The drums along with the double bass driving the pulse over some beautiful chords from Tom Coster? (electric piano) and Schon.

  • i like the cricketts

  • chill

  • Does anyone know what happened to Carlos during this time? He became VERY spiritual almost overnight. Just curious what the story is. Cheers

  • @ricorreze I remembered hearing and reading that he went somewhere with a Guruand spent alot of time away from the guitar to meditate basically a spiritual journey

  • This album from beginning to end...........simply a MASTERPIECE

This album from beginning to end....simply a MASTERPIECE!

  • @jeffkatt

  • reminds me of bitches brew...with some sanity haha

  • I come from the desert, Santana is the MAN.

  • One of the best concerts I've ever attended. The Notre Dame Acc was a unique venue for this to. Saw them from all sides. Of couse we were trippin fairly hard. But still enjoyed it and remember most of it to this day

  • Love it!!!!! So relaxing

  • why can't i listen to what i want?>??

  • love it

  • Love this track, it puts me in another place. Unearthly Saxaphone intro, awesome bass. floating guitar and keyboards. But yes, it is a revamp of Pharaoh Sanders' Astral Traveling.

  • santana best musique

  • @arkanali1 - yes !!!!!! -Peace !.

  • Thank you ricardus, i have listen, just great.

  • First listened to these in 1975! 35 years later, it's still my favorite album.

  • Now go listen to Pharoah Sanders' "Astral Travelling"...

  • Search for "Abraxaos" a great Santana 70's Tribute Band.

    ww w . abraxaos . com

  • santana viens en france

  • The start of the journey thru the desert.....

  • The bass starts at 1:45

  • one of the best things about this is the bass playing, try listening to it all the way through and you'll see what I mean

  • Viva carlos and mike shrieve . this is timeless, the standard which new music should be measured ie - does it bring people together. period.

  • OMG haven't heard this for years! Thanks. I suppose today's equivalent is Trance.

  • This was one of my favorite albums EVER. Why dont we have creativity like this anymore??? most of the shit today is sad and pathetic attempts to channel aggression and anger and making it sound like total shit. Now THIS album and These musicians channeled it right. Ah yes they also channeled love. This is a great album to wine and dine your woman to.

  • @PaiLung

Very interesting, you definitely deserve your nine green thumbs(10 now) for the heart felt comments, we lived at a great time for music before the destructive sinisysm of '77 existed, really glad you have found TRUE music, at its VERY BEST!!

  • @Zapple03 what is sinisysm of '77?There was great music made after 1977.

  • @PBGSURFER65

of course that's true, there'll always be great music being made.. just a different slant introduced to the scene by the kings of punk...

  • I wish he went back to doing this kind of thing, Carlos at his best.

  • comme un mirage dans le désert relax memed

  • QUE VIVA SANTANA.

  • relax your mind , breath deep and let the music take you away. The man is a genius.

  • Sublime ..

  • Sorry viidiot I love the Sound of Santana too and I was a teenager as they startet to play his fantastic, unicum sound. But let me tell you that also CHICAGO (I, II, III and IV) are a Masterpiece in rock history. Their 3 first albums were Bouble-LP and Nr. IV was a 4-LP live album, recorded at Carnegie Hall 1971.

Santana, Chicago and WAR: My favorites....

  • Thanks for hoisting this, the album is a masterpiece.

  • Its a great album to listen to at night , atleast this song to play first.

  • Thank You For Posting This Song.

  • I first heard this when I was 16yrs old I had never heard sounds like this coming from a guitar and the crickets in the beginning of the song brilliant it takes you on a journey through space and time (smile) thanks for posting this~

  • santana's first 4 albums (sry bout not feelin the 5th as much) are as good as ANY four albums cut by ANY band. that's a period there at the end of the sentence, as in PERIOD.

  • @viidiot

Santana's 1st 4 albums as good as ANY 4 albums by ANY band...period...

I can go with that... PERIOD.

  • Santana's first 5 albums are stone cold classics. But you've got to hear their live 'Lotus' album where the best tracks from the 5 albums are presented in a mind-blowing sequence over 2 cds.
