that's not Dave drunk... buzzed yea ... I saw them at Mid-South coliseum back in the 70's and he got progressively drunk throughout the whole show. When they came out for the encore they did two songs and around the middle of the second song Dave freaking passed out ... Fell over and was OUT COLD. Eddie came over and gave him a little touch with his shoe and dave didn't move.... they just quit playing and the lights came up. Dave was CARRIED to the backstage area.

That's not fake Jack. VH were all boozers, I don't know how the hell this is still doubted w/ all the video evidence to the contrary. Dave was about as drunk as he could've been on 2 feet even before he went onstage at the 83 US Fest, e.g. Mike Anthony was on a cable rock show a couple months ago and said the worst you could say for Dave is that he would sometimes put Jim Beam in the Jack bottle, but never tea.

that's not Dave drunk... buzzed yea ... I saw them at Mid-South coliseum back in the 70's and he got progressively drunk throughout the whole show. When they came out for the encore they did two songs and around the middle of the second song Dave freaking passed out ... Fell over and was OUT COLD. Eddie came over and gave him a little touch with his shoe and dave didn't move.... they just quit playing and the lights came up. Dave was CARRIED to the backstage area.

Dave was awesome back in the day, but obviously he never had the vocal chops that Sammy has, and Sammy didn't have Dave's larger than life stage presence. Both are legends in rock.

But I would rather not see either of them back with VH...too old...though Sammy does sound pretty hot with Chickenfoot. In that time, Kids were having a GREAT time. We were not so wrapped up tight. Drugs,Sex,and Rock n Roll was not illegal. The worst thing in school was to be caught with a joint. Cops were not called. It just got thrown away and your parents found out. BMX,Redline bikes,and what tour was coming to town was all I cared about. I forgot Hutch BMX...(Redline was better).

I think maybe he's less drunk and more riding high on natural swagger, he only swallowed from the bottle three times. Imagine you appear onstage and only have to raise your arms up and the crowd goes insane. That has got to really affect you as a person. You could never come down from that and have to spend the rest of your life trying to reclaim that same feeling. Not just him but others of this level of fame. How so they deal with that?
