  • I have a different version of this that is not that far off, it's alittle faster.

  • anybody remember a slow r and b jam called REal love. The lyrics begin, "For once in my life, I found someone who makes me smile..."

  • there's a new version of this just release by Doc Da Funk

  • yes this is one of my tracks

  • I really really do like this track, it was a big favourite of mine back then but it stands the test of time like Le Vie en rose by Grace Jones that sounds as good now is it did then too...

  • Great band & so funky! Saw them once at the Jazz Cafe many moons ago & it was an awesome gig. This version is good but the original '91 version does it for me, slightly funkier & with Dee Heron as the vocalist who had a real unique voice! I rememeber this being voted best club single of the year in many year end polls & it's not hard to see why! Loved it!

  • Yeah i had it on 7"vinyl summer 1991.

  • Yes i agree with lilslippy can someone post the video for this song?

  • So sexy & soulful...i need to go grab somebody to dance with now, lol. Thanks so much for posting this classic tune...you've made my day! -x-

  • This incredibly beautiful song, based on a simple but extraordinarily catchy riff, comes from a classic of the early 90s acid jazz/groove soul genre - 'Conspiracy' album

As expected, originated from the UK

Every song on this album is deceptively a gem,

    with real instruments used/superb production.

The rap is not that bad, example of a short 'less is more' British female rapster riff from the acid jazz early 90s.

Check this album out the band deserve it...

  • Shame about the rap, otherwise this would be a classic of its kind.

  • excellent tune i play it every weekend when i,m working, bring all the old ones back they are the best.

  • It doesn`t matter how many times i hear this song, it always sounds like it`s my first time :)

"Real love" is a very uplifting song! :)

    My favourite infact :)

  • Could someone please post the video? I just love this song and the video is just ace.

  • this is one great summertime song - reminds me of my childhood playing in the garden :D

  • this and never stop by brand new heavies - Those worms & insects I used to share the ground with ...... was real love

  • Damm forgot to say .... big thanx for posting this!!

  • Brings back memories.... downstairs at Ronnie Scots

  • This tune just makes my hair stand on end!!!......brings back memories.5Stars

  • thanx for posting!!!I love it!

  • This brings back some memories.i used to have this on 7" vinyl in 1991 when i was 16.

  • agree, a real stand-out soul track from the '90s

used to go to a latin bar with work colleagues where they played this. x

  • love it love it love it!

  • Yeh! this was early 90's

  • What year was this sounds very early 90s reminds me of Brand New Heavies and M People

  • this came out in the summer of 1991.

  • wow! stumbled upon this and real glad i'm did, super smooth and full of melody! a definite summer jam!

  • yes this is Driabone..Real love

  • wow nice song <3

  • According Mr. Worth it's in NOT GC, although it has a GC flavor. SOunds like something more along the lines of the second Repercussions CD, but alas, it isn't them. It's someone called Drizabone.

  • WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! THIS is just SIMPLY AMAZING! so is this song by Groove collection OR another group mentioned by laurenworth in the posted comment section?

    HELP!!!!

  • Richard Worth, what on earth were you guys arguing about...lol. Chords changes, arrangement, who solos first. As for selling out, Idon't feel that way. I loved the song "Lift Off." I thought that whole joint was masterful. One of my favs of all time. As for Incognito, another fav of mine. It's all about the live element. Peace.

  • Hello this is not the collective. (This is the flute player and founding member writng.) Sorry nothing like us. On the album in the picture we slightly sold out with one slightly smooth vocal track, but made up for that with some other pretty ferocious and out there stuff. Although we opened for incognito we were never really in that bag-much more lumpy after all there are a load of NYC jazz players in the band-we even used to have arguments on stage.

  • im sorry i confuses..yes this is drizabone, ive changed it...where do you live laurenworth?

  • This is Drizabone a duo of two guys called Billy April and Vince Garcia. Their album was called Conspiracy and they were signed to Fourth and Broadway. Two very cool dudes shame they are not making music anymore together.

  • this is NOT Groove Collective

  • This song isn't by Groove Collective but DRIZABONE!

  • My favorite band on the planet!

  • diopsdaddy 95

i love this group they are smooth as shit!!
