@ClubzyDemon the black wii will never erver ever be able to play burnt games that nasty nintendo got hold of drives that wont play dvd-r/+r/rws and it looks like 4.3 killed playing burnt games for the rest of us. your best bet is to dl and play of a hard drive with usb loader or wiiflow hope this helps as i also own a black wii and was gutted when i could not get burnt games to play

Reinstall bootmi. Just go back, to the SD card menu, and reinstall. It works for me.

@tigobitties2121 i thought i would need a gamecube controller. it was confirmed when i was in bootmii and i hit the reset button, it restarted. BUT, once i was at the point where i had to select the write to sd card i was able to move the highlight over with the power button and the reset button worked to execute rather than rest the consol.

Its the top 2 buttons when the consol is stand up, power button enable you to move highlight over to the right and the reset button will be like ENTER.

Hey I'm not able to control the install. It just sits there with that rock music playing, I cant press left or right, or click "A". Actually for mine to navigate the restore menu i used the power and eject buttons to move left and right and pushed both together to enter. Im not sure if this works for everyones wii. he says in the video that some you have to use a gamecube controller but try your power and eject bottins first. If your wii freezes when selecting ios250, 249, etc you need to download the file in the description megupload that has the written txt file that gives you the info to fix that.

read the description. it has a megaupload file that has a tutorial in it to delete the snub cios and unistall it allowing you to install the cios. follow the instructions and you will than be able to complete the instructions in this video.

I figured it out on the wiihacks forum, there is a guide on there that fixes the freezing problem. Now I figured out my Wii is too new and has the new dvd drive that won't play backups no matter what though so now I'll have to do it via usb hd.

@LUISNDIANA Im not sure if the bootmii he used was updated but when you enter the bootmii menu. You can press the power and reset button to move around. You might accidently go back to the wii menu cause you press select but it does work (atleast on mine).

i have a comment your method is excellent just as i expected. Now IOS249 is usally the default. Reason it might not work is because the 4.2 update patches those with stubs so the cios installer can write over them. I suggestion would be before you run the cios installer you run ANY TITLE DELETER and delete the ios 222,249,250 etc. and when you run the cios installer :-) good guess, any of those choices will work

eloshy, it turns out u gotta actually do sumthin else, it takes a lil bit longer but it works, download the cios instuctions, then all the way at the bottom of it should be a link, (pack 5 link) copy that to the root of ur sd card then thats it, go to ur wii and do the bootmii thingy, at first the page is gonna be all glitchy, but dont worrie, thats supposed to happen, then there on out u'll kno what to do

Thank you Darkssasuke that worked! For others having the same issue. After you make the back up, you will need to download instructions and download pack 5 and put that on your SD root. Those instructions will show you how to do it

I did what you (eloshy) and darkssasuke did because we were all getting the same error. But for some reason what worked for you (downloading and using the things included in the 5 links of the instructions) isn't working for me. I'm still getting an installation error. Anyone have any idea what I should do now?
