so hard to choose whos got my favourite part in macaframa, but i gotta say, Kia doing that through the frame skid at 1:57 then Dirt just being a king all around from 3:39 until the end, gotta be these dudes
@MrHandro13 its a pista concept. If you find his mash part on YouTube you can see that in the beginning he has a Celeste one but later on it's black this is the same frame but he covered it in stickers
@Thatssketchy1 No, not Kia's unless the decals on dirts are stripped... The bike ur talking about is the first guy and yes its an 04, bianchi only made black for the 03 and 04s. Im talking about the second guy. thanks for the reply though.
@MrHandro13 Oh haha my bad, it wasnt loading so I posted the comment before watching the whole vid. Its hard to tell on dirts the frame dosnt have any distinctive features and the stickers dont help.
@Thatssketchy1 Yeah, exactly my thoughts, really cool frame though. I can almost for sure say its aluminum by the thickness of the tubing, but I can't be 100% on that. No cutout on the seattube means it aint a concept leader or rush hour pro...gah its the only frame i haven't been able to decipher from all the macaframa riders and I just really want to know haha. Thanks again for taking the time to comment back though :D
@Thatssketchy1 Oh, actually I think I just figured it out, I'm pretty sure its a cinelli vigorelli, the inclined top tube isn't really noticeable due to the frame pad, its aluminum, no cutout, and most of all, an earlier pic of Dirt shows him with the same components and wheels on a vigorelli, so maybe he repainted it or just stickered the shit out of it haha
@MrHandro13 Yeah its aluminum for sure, I thought leader at first but its nicer than that, on the macaframa website theres a picture of the bb area. Thats it though.
@thelgskater Its mainly about weight transfer. When you get ready to skid you have to transfer you weight to over the front wheel then lock wheel. If you lock your wheel with your weight over the back you will be fighting a battle you wont win.
@thelgskater Yup what 1979grandprix said, I can skid with my pedals level and all weight on the seat takes a while to get the muscle in your legs if you cant do it already. Having your weight in the back helps you stop/slow down faster.
Does anyone know what stem Kias using? Im guessing thomson but I cant find any 25.4 clamps that thomson makes that would fit those drops. Hoping someone could help
its a leader 725tr custom paint job still has emblem
wheel sett is a rear white aerospoke still has stickers on it and a front hed3 tri spoke still has stickers as well. sugino messenger crank sett
welger toe clips. fsa carbon head sett with carbon fsa spacers . fsa stem . volume hipster bars , oury grips fsa seat post and a fizik seat. hmu i live in Los Angeles
@slaking08 Yes you will damage your rims by being hard on them, most likely bend the rims.. then the spokes start to bend and break. Remember, these bikes were meant to be as lightweight as possible. If you want to be hard on your rims get a set of Velocity Chukkers and 32c or bigger tires or even a 26" mtb wheel setup (the strongest setup available)
@PeterLongfellowxD Dont worry about it. Just ride for the love of it and brand names dont matter. Of course I want a Bianchi Super Pista also, but im happy with my vintage Peugeot :)
@ErickoMF yeah didnt think much about that and the stickers threw me off about thinking it was an aerospoke but i dont judge his bike that thing puts my bike to shameee all i have is a 65 raleigh hack but it works
@ErickoMF yeah mind still has the vintage emblems i bought them and just put them on its yellow and perfectly clean and i have the original fork so im proud of her
I wanna look like you guys look wen you guys ride because you guys are all the way like in the front do you have to put your seat all the way infront and does the hight of your seat post matter if it does can you tell me how high it needs to be,and also does it depend on the kind of stem you have, and what kind of ratio do you have if anyone can answer me thanks
@cuhh7 Haha, the saddle should be high enough so that on the bottom of the pedal rotation you can just bend your knees still. The stem these guys tend to use is called a quill but they aren't very common these days. In terms of ratio, anything from 2:1 to 3:1 is common; by far the most common chainring for the rear wheel on a fixie is 16 tooth.
Please someone answer this question: How do they go about filming the biking? Sometimes it's like bugs eye view and etc when they go super fast... and I know it may be a car, or bike, but ... bugs eye view on a bike sounds so dangerous
@LittoBUbbo No, they either use a motor scooter, and edit out the sounds of it , or they use a longboard, a longboard can reach a speed of 25mph, that's equivalent to how fast this rider on his 04 Bianchi Pista Concept is going. OR, what they do is get a professional camera man who knows how to ride while filming professionally, that's what most company's do.
Skiding is all skills, took me a little time to get skilled at it. Its all about timing really, easiest way is to use your power leg, (depending on if your left or right handed, then thats the leg you will use for the most power to push back with the pedal to lock the cog). Then you use the other foot to balance while skidding, I left up on my toe strap to keep balance.
@xWaffleZz Lean very forward and lead with your head. To skid left, look left.. release the pedals 1/2 a turn and skid the right, looking right. Looking where you wanna go helps w/ shit like that.
Yeah i have fenders on my fixie cuzz when it rains my ass looks like mudd butt
