When using the phrase "Salt of the Earth", it is better to use Kosher salt which is mined from the earth rather than sea salt which comes from the sea. Sea salt is preferable for the diet however. Don't sweat it too much though as the Universe recongnises our intentions. Excellent ritual.

This is not bad for a beginner but please remember that if your blessing a tool you need living water. this is water that has never touched metal. Your doing the demonstration using a metal offering bowl. Also you should specify that you are using sea salt and not table salt as it too is processed and considered "dead". One last thing is your broom a used kitchen broom? It should be mentioned that all tools blessed and prepared for ritual should be used for that purpose only.
